As the title states. The Steam plugin crashes constantly. An before anyone says anything, yes, I have reported the issue and sent a report in the Galaxy 2.0 client as per beta testing requires.

However, just wanting to see if anyone else has had this issue or maybe has a different plugin crashing consistently and constantly. Or if someone managed to have it stop happening.

Basically this is the process, it's fairly simple:

1) Steam plugin has crashed. Retry.

2) Click Retry.

3) Says Connecting...

4) Says Connected.

5) After a short period of time, maybe 30 seconds or less, it will say
"Not Responding" then cycles back to 1) saying its crashed.

So, anyone else having this issue and if so has anyone managed to remedy this problem or been told by a blue that they are aware of said issue? Thanks.

I keep getting this too. Today it won't connect at all.
I'm having the same problem today.
I had a similar issue and was able to fix it by killing all python processes and then restarting the steam plugin.

Interesting, though that doesn't feel like a great solution.
Having the same issue at the moment.
I've been having this issue pretty much the whole time I've been a part of the beta.(Which is about a month)... Starting yesterday it won't connect at all to steam for any length of time.
Yeah, the Steam plugin stayed connected since I've been apart of the beta when it first started. However, about 2 to 3 weeks ago Galaxy 2.0 updated and ever since that update the Steam plugin was unable to remain connected and constantly crashed. I am thinking the recent update did something but it appears others have been experiencing the same problem regardless of the update.

Yeah the same thing's been happening to me this weekend. The Steam and Origin plugins both keep crashing/failing to start up.
error plugin steam/origin.
I'm having the same problem
Hello all,

Yes, it does crash constantly, same with Uplay. I still see every Steam/Uplay game in my All Game Library.

I'm not willing to always re-enter my credentials before this is no longer a community plug-in however. Maybe I'm paranoid but it doesn't feel good.

Also, i'm lazy, very lazy.

Though, a bigger question I'd've is : Since it crashes constantly and I'm not willing to re-link my Steam/Uplay account to Galaxy 2.0 can I at least remove those games from my library ? It's annoying to see all these games here I can't launch through the app.

Unless I'm misreading your question, you can just simply 'disconnect' the platform and it won't try to connect again and all of their associated (yours) games will be "gone" from GOG Galaxy. I say "gone" because some info you might have altered like tags would still come back as they were (as those info remains on GoG's cloud.

This is indeed what I'm looking to do. How to do it, however, is the real meat of the question.

When I'm into Galaxy 2.0 Settings - Integrations Tab, every community integrations have their purple button reading "Connect".

When they crashed first, I did not "re-log" into them, yet the games remained. So I'm unsure what I did wrong and how to trully "Disconnect" them, seems like the App already believes they are disconnected. Do you mean I should log Steam, etc again into Galaxy 2.0 and THEN disconnect them ?

For some reason, I can't attach any file, so here's a screenshot from my setting menu :

Yes that is what he is getting at: it's a known issue that sometimes Galaxy needs an additional connect/disconnect to actually remove the games from its database.
