Yes this is still broken for me as well.
Still not working for me. Not sure why someone marked it as "solved"

Same here... After logging in to goes to "Offline Retry."
Same problem. Can't link steam games to GoG Galaxy. Any solution yet?
same for me
me too

problem no fix :(
Same problem here. Offline Retry only .Not solved at all
I see that after a restart it does say Offline Retry in the settings, but it is connected and the connection is working. You can launch steam games from Galaxy, and if you install or uninstall a game from Steam the change is reflected in Galaxy.
I agree that the issue is not solved, but the current workaround seems usable.

Yeah it's working in offline mode. The problem is not with installed or uninstalled games...Try to buy a game on steam and you'll see that it will not show in galaxy until you manage to reconnect again to sync up the database in galaxy. And when this workaround will also stop working...then what ? Hoping that someone manages to fix or rewrite the steam plugin because GOG doesn't care.
Just to say I am a new user of Galaxy and am experiencing the same as others describe.
I've put in my Steam authentication code over and over again , it says offline for a bit and the defaults to not connected. Most of my games are on Steam so this could be a deal breaker.
Origin, Battle.net, Epic, Humble Bundle all work fine so what's up with Steam ?
I have the same issue, even if I log in and restart GOG Galaxy 2.0 the whole connection to Steam is removed.
And I can't even see the games of steam in the launcher and "import metadata" doesn't work either.
The connection is completly broken and doesn't even show one single game.

JTQuincy: It appears the folks at Valve have changed how Steam authentication works and it may be a lot of work to get it working in Galaxy again.

There is at least one dev working on it that I can see. Hopefully, they can find an answer.
yep steam changed to an extremely annoying authentication method for desktops, altjough the deck does NOT use that method and they cannot rely on linking to desktops to verify, so there must be a way to workaround

some of the other linkages 3rd are also apparently dead...

effectively galaxy is as much of a dead end as I thought that it would be and since I have a deck better to just buy through steam now anyways, the experiennce is just so much better, e.g. trying to get the og witcher to run ok from gog version is a complete and total nightmare...

It was marked as "solved" back in January, 2022. Just that the same issue has now come up once again :(

I have the same problem as everyone else. However I'm just manually importing new steam games to Galaxy and it works great and it's easy to do. The only downside is that Galaxy launches the game exe without the steam overlay starting up, which is not a downside in my book.
From the last comments, it looks like somebody is actively working on a fix: https://github.com/FriendsOfGalaxy/galaxy-integration-steam/issues/159
