Hi,

I have been having issues with steam integration as of late (no changes on my end). At first the "play" button of installed games was permanently greyed out. Then, after a few days I decided to reconnect Steam integration and see if that would solve the issue. It made it worse. I got the message that my profile settings needed to be set to public - they already were. So I turned them private, then public again. Now I can "integrate" Steam and it looks like its working but it shows as if I owned 0 games on Steam (which obviously is not the case).

So it makes a bookmark called Steam and that is then empty. In the list of platforms Steam does not show up but in the settings it says it is connected.

I wrote a support request from within the app a few days ago but no answer and frankly no idea where I would receive one.

Any one having similar issues or knows how to fix this?

As I didn't have such problems, obviously I can't say anything useful about this.
In short, I'll say that the Steam integration is community-driven one, so writing to the local support probably won't provide you any solution. Try to ask about your problem on Github where it's supposed to be done.

Alternatively you can try to figure out on your own via these search results:

The only suggestion I have is that, in addition to disconnecting and reconnecting the Steam integration, you remove the folder of the steam integration in your computer. I don't have access to my personal computer at the moment, but I found the instructions on github:

1. Open GoG Galaxy, disconnect the Steam integration, and close GoG Galaxy.
2. Open %localappdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\ and delete the "steam" folder.
3. Open %programdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage\plugins\ and delete the "steam" file.
4. Open GoG Galaxy and initiate Steam integration. After the plugin is downloaded log in and provide the Steam Guard code.

Hope a "fresh" connection works better.

Thank you very much for helping. I tried what you said but unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue. I have now figured out that for some reason the last leg of the integration process just doesn't happen: the importing. So when I disconnect/reconnect another integration it will take a few moments and display a progress info. With steam this is not the case. I will head over to Github and try my luck there even though I really don't understand anything about Github.

If you have another suggestiong I would be more than happy to try.
Fingers crossed for luck at Github.

No idea why or how but it just went back to normal. I assume it imported in the background while I was looking at github. I hope it stays this way. If it does I am totally crediting you <3 Thank you so much!
I'm having this exact issue. Clearing the cache multiple times has not solved anything.

Steam games were listed and playable from galaxy yesterday, suddenly today they disappeared. Cleared the plugin cache, and reconnected, still having the same issue.
By clearing the cache do you mean really deleting all these folders user jjen1987 mentioned? Because you have to activate hidden folders and all that. So that it reinstalls the steam integration plugin altogether.

Happy that it worked! My Steam plugin is quite stable now, and if not, this is the only way of completely removing the integration.

For anybody wondering, tags assigned to Steam games do not disappear after doing a fresh install. Those seem to be sync'ed on GOG's side, so re-importing your Steam library will get your GOG tags back. If you do want to remove your tags, I believe you need to get in touch with GOG staff via support. Can't comment on custom covers, though.

I mean clearing the cached plugin files in the directories jjen1987 mentioned, yes. That does nothing to help the situation on reconnect. However, the last few days my steam integration has started working and then stopped working multiple times, seemingly at random after reboots. It's currently broken again.
It won't even let me launch the steam plugin anymore. Galaxy is now demanding my steam profile be public.
I just started having this problem today, the solution listed in this thread isn't working for me, anyone have any suggestions?

Same issue here no other plugin works properly. I unistall, reinstall, reinstall the plugin from scratch . Everything. No solution here...
only response I get from the Steam integration is "Steam - Offline Retry."
getting code after code from steam to auth but it never connects with gog. no problem with Origin/EA and Ubisoft.
And yes I have tried deleting all webcache files.

Hi all! The current integration uses old access/API keys. To fix this, do as follows (copied AudioAbe's comment from the Reddit post "GOG keeps disconnecting me from Ubisoft launcher"):

"Heres the fix for this issue:

Open the Python file "%LOCALAPPDATA%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\uplay_afb5a69c-b2ee-4d58-b916-f4cd75d4999a\consts.py" in a text editor.

Change line 15 [a]nd 16 to:

CLUB_APPID = "314d4fef-e568-454a-ae06-43e3bece12a6"

CLUB_GENOME_ID = "85c31714-0941-4876-a18d-2c7e9dce8d40"

Save, connect (no need to restart Galaxy), stay connected :)

Ubisoft changed the server ID, the plugin had the old values, therefore no connection. Simply change both id's to the values above.

EDIT: If it still doesn't work or is disconnecting after some time, go to the Ubisoft website and log in; it should open a new window to enter your username and password. When double-clicked, the URL of the login window will have the IDs listed above."

Note that one commenter said that it's at %appdata%\local instead and I haven't tested it myself, so idk on that part.
