RottenRotz: Yes as of yesterday you can add it as a separate executable to to base/existing game, but you cant have separate cover or icon for expansion. Before this launcher could only start base game, and if you wanted to start expansion you would have to navigate to game folder and launch it through exe
MarkoH01: Ah, now I understand what you are trying to do. Add the expansion as seperate game and you cannot find the expansion listed in the database, right? This can be easily done. The problem is that the expansion so far does not seem to be in the database (might be added later if you submit a bug report) but you can still add it if you like. Just add Anno 1404 and link the executable to the base game. Then add 1404 Gold and link the executable to the expansion. Now you edit the one you linked to the expansion and change the title and if you like even some of the pics. It's not perfect but it should work.
Yes,that is it.I have tried it this way before and it works in this particular case. However there more problems regarding other games.First of all database almost never list expansions for any game so that is a lot of bug reporting :).Like Starcraft. It only lists base game and no gold edition so there is no way of adding expansion this way.To solve this problem entirely i think we have to wait for option to merge and split games,or duplicating exe to library or gog needs to do a lot of database updating.
By the way who knows what database GOG uses?Maybe we could update database ourselves?
Ok,i found out it uses IGDB as database and it seems as the problem is on GOG's side.IGDB lists all Starcraft games and expansions but on GOG expansion is gone as in many other cases. It lists Starcraft: Insurrection though.
