After multiple attempts to install Galaxy on Windows 11, I had to stop and come here to ask if this is this is in vain. I've tried different compatibility settings with the same results. At the end of each attempt, an error appeared repeatedly (clicking it away many times) saying MSVCP140.dll and VRUNTIME140.dll were not found. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 was installed but it said it wasn't needed.

Now, I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

It is working fine on Windows 11. Did you install both, x86 & x64 versions of VC++?

I thought I had but before I re-installed Galaxy, I repaired both installations of VC redist and it worked fine.

Thank you very much.

You're welcome!
Glad, that it's working now. :)
Got same error as OP, but attempting to install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 did not work for me as system said it had a version already installed and would not allow the two versions to complete installation.

Pardon me, scratch that. Repairing the Visual C++ installations via "Modify" in Apps and it worked just fine. Missed that part in reading the original thread.

If you can launch and log into GOG Galaxy but downloads never start, try disabling IPv6.

You also have the option of logging into a web browser and downloading the offline installers from your library. Games installed this way can be added to GOG Galaxy: click the cogwheel in the top left, choose Add Games & Friends, then Scan Folders for GOG Games. Or you can simply play the games offline if you don't mind missing out on online features like achievements, cloud saves, etc.

If you continue having problems, please start your own thread. This has nothing to do with the issue in the OP.
