It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

cousta: Here's what works for me on macOS:
1. make sure that any other system account is logged out
2. open a terminal and run /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/redists/GalaxyCommunication
3. launch GOG Galaxy

GalaxyCommunication will immediately exit if any other account is still logged in. I assume it's a poorly thought-through attempt to prevent GOG account sharing.
This worked for me as well. Thank you!

It do not work for me.

I have MacBook Air M1 with the newest maxOS Sonoma 14.0 and antivirus TotalAV. I can't update GOG Galaxy I had to download new version manually. Also do not help. Program is open. During first log after installation I see a normal page. After 1 - 2 minutes I have crash error. And program is close.

Any other Idea?
It's the same for me. I've tried reloading the application multiple times and still receive the same communications error. I've even tried the suggested commandline fix running as both my normal and as a sudo user with the same error. It would be nice to be allowed access to the games that I had purchased through this platform.

Device:
Macbook Air
Chip:
M2
Memory:
16 GB
macOS:
Sonoma 14.0
Well, the command line work-around worked for me but how is this not fixed after 4 months? I should have bought BG3 off of Steam instead of having to deal with yet another installer/launcher/store that has to run in the background all the time. When GOG said there was no DRM on their games I thought it meant I wouldn't have to put up with crap like this.

Worked previously on Mac Mini M2 under Ventura.
Under Sonoma I had touse this command with root rights (sudo) and that works again.
Weird they did not fix this by the time.

It appears that if you are logged into gog.com the website, this counts as a second connection. Once I closed the gog.com window in the browser, this workaround solved the problem for me!
Count me in the group where the fix doesn't work. Bleh.
In my case, I had to re-enable both "GOG" entries under "Login Items" in System Settings.

I have two entries there, "GOG Galaxy.app" and "GOG Sp. z o.o.". They are enabled even if "Launch GOG Galaxy at system startup" is disabled in GOG Galaxy Settings. I don't know why or what they do, so I had them disabled. On update GOG Galaxy would complain about service failure and shut itself down. After I enabled them it worked again.
It's a shame this still hasn't been addressed. I've been able to get it to work launching GalaxyCommunication manually but it usually takes a few tries.

I haven't been able to keep the agent running or even relaunch when it closes. I'm not sure if it's crashing and just isn't relaunching despite `KeepAlive` or if it's closing successfully but it won't stay open more than ten or fifteen seconds after Galaxy is exited for me.
I think I found the fix!

Settings/iCloud/
Navigate to the iCloud+ section
Turn off the Private Relay

I like this feature and hopefully GOG will find a way to authenticate around it, but it makes sense if they are trying to limit one user per account, then they need to verify your IP address.

Happy gaming!
If they're not going to fix this issue then they need to do the right thing and refund our money. Every dime of it. Games services all over the place are not seeing profitability in porting games to Mac? Then they can distribute and develop for fuccing Windows until their hearts explode.

Swear to God, Linux is getting more respect than Mac is these days.
Is there any update on this issue from GOG team? It's not working at all on my side, even with these suggestions.
+1, none. of the fixes work and gog galaxy is currently unusable on a mac.

i have no private relay, i issued the terminal fix and i closed all open browsers. but seriously, if the server can't distinguish between https and whatever port the client uses for communication, then that solution is not feasible.

hope this gets resolved at some point in time. glad, i still have a windows pc, that, yes, is also switched off at the times of me trying to run gog galaxy.

This works for me too on Mac OS. However - I have to run the solution everytime I launch GOG Galaxy, which is frustrating.
