as the title says the galaxy client can't update my games as it always get the stupid "update failed (e7)" is there a way to fix this stupid error? Strangely enough some games could be updated whilst others couldn't. Please help
No known workaround besides using the offline game installers.

it could be your network, that you installed this game with the offline system or even that you put it in c programs or onedrive and Galaxy does not have permission to change things... without more details its pointless to guess

I am not installing games under onedrive or c programs but i am instead using either c:\gog games or the games folder under the gog galaxy directory. I didn't use the offline installers either.

Solution found. Run as administrator

thats interesting so it was a permission issue which is a little odd when you didn't use c programs but glad you got it sorted

as a side issue did you recently update Galaxy itself perhaps?

Yea i did recently update gog and come to think of it I was using the preview builds. Maybe that was the problem.
I have tried to run as admin, but it didn't help. I can't update any game or download anything from my library. Only from website. Steam is working btw. Any soultion?

If there's the need to Run as Admin most probably something is wrong from the start (or you are using a system administered from someone else).

Try this:

- Make a backup of the folders of your games, and of the the folder of Galaxy. (We will return here later.)

- Uninstall Galaxy completely

- Create a "C:\Games" folder with your user, most probably it will ask for admin privileges and that's ok here. (Now the
folder is of your user, everything you will put inside it won't need admin rights.)

- Install Galaxy in "C:\Games\GOG Galaxy" NOT as admin, maybe it will ask admin rights during the install but that's normal because it needs it only for the services.

- Start Galaxy NOT as admin, and try to install/update some small game, just to see if everything works for that (Be sure that the game installing location will be under "C:\Games" or "C:\Games\GOG Galaxy", the new created folder).

- If it works without issues, put in your "C:\Games" or "C:\Games\GOG Galaxy" folder all your old game folders.

- If during that copy it asked for admin rights, then there was something wrong in the way they were installed, and either you should download them again from scratch to be put inside the new Games folder, or you should manually correct the authorizations of the files/folders of the games.

- If instead everything during the copy went smooth, you'll just do a "Add Games & Friends -> Scan folders for GOG games", and all your old games should appear in library again.

- Now the update system should work again

Uninstalled client. Got new exe from website. Clicked and it took me around 7 min before it started to download files for galaxy installation. After it checked and no result. Games with updates just doesn't start downloading, after it they give server error. When i try grab something from library and the same - infinity loading screen with confirmation.

I double checked all windows defender settings and double checked if Galaxy in all white list. Dunno what to do =(

Steam is working btw. And notification from gog forums are coming to the clients, but the rest - no

Oh, damn. tried Wi-Fi router from my cell phone and it is working.

Thanks a lot man ;) It didn't want to find the games or update them, once run with Admin all is perfect..
