Ice_Mage: There were some server issues. It should be okay now.
Profile page and Galaxy not working ?

xRa7en: get the versions prior to 2.0

Johny.: I really don't recommend it due to security fixes that were done in the meantime as well as deprecated APIs this version is using.

Better use 2.0.37 on Win7 and Win8.1
Try this link: https://cdn.gog.com/open/galaxy/client/2.0.37.384/setup_galaxy_2.0.37.384.exe

It should update to newer versions when the fix is out.
Thank you! This saved my day. Finally a version that works with Windows 8.1 Pro. I made the mistake of reinstalling Galaxy yesterday when it suddenly stopped working, thinking I had corrupted a file (when it actually seems to have been problem with the servers), and ended up with the latest version of Galaxy that simply doesn't even start with Windows 8.

Thank you again! :)

I have a question...Did the new update fix the Windows 7 compatibility? Or should I still stay in version 2.0.37?
Still can't launch galaxy, i re-installed multiple times now. Double click seems loading, Procces show on the task managers and close inmediatly.

alexandros050:
Hi,

We’d like to inform you that we have an update regarding your problem.

The following link contains an updated GOG GALAXY version that will:
- Fix a bug where GOG GALAXY failed to launch or update on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7
- Fix a bug where GOG GALAXY failed to launch, claiming it was already running on another account
- Opt you into GOG GALAXY "public beta" updates

https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.42.21/setup_galaxy_BETA_2.0.42.21.exe

What that means is that you’ll be getting updates with the newest features and patches that we’ll be releasing to the users. You have the possibility to opt out by disabling this setting yourself in the app settings (“public beta” checkbox), however we recommend that you refrain from doing so until the next GOG GALAXY update, that will contain the fixes included in this patch.
If you are still on Windows 7 we recommend that you update to the newest version of Windows.

Please respond and let us know whether Your problem has been resolved! :)

This evening GOG Galaxy stopped working.
I tried reinstalling and installing some older versions 2.0.39.6b, 2.0.38.344 and 2.0.37.384
Just tried installing the _BETA_2.0.42.21, but with all these versions I get the same error message (see attachment)
I don't know what I can do to get it to work...

edit: the problem seems to have been resolved. It's working now...

Same thing here. First the loading circle is spinning for a while and then this message shows. Can't click anything. Tried reinstalling too, same result.

+1 same problem. It asked me to update, after update I get the same black windows as everyone. Installer from one of the staff posts just says I'm already at latest version (I was subscribed to beta versions).

Edit: working now, something fixed serverside
