Greatly appreciated, now we can not only manually add games but also launch games without having to enter their detail page (to do this, you have to be in Grid View and go to Customize Grid View > enable "Status")!

The Xbox integration now detects various games that are playable on PC, but they only show as available to install, unaware that they're already installed and can be played, is this a known issue?

I just have a quick question in regards to adding games, will there be the opportunity to add games that are not in your GOG database? for instance you have no one lives forever 2, but not the first game, and lets say if i wanted to add one of the mods i am currently playing. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly? Perhaps a chance to source information from a different Database or customize a local one?

Nice addition not in the changelog: if you use a filter/search, which contains 'Hidden' games defined earlier by you, it now says at the bottom: "Your search resulted X visible games and Y hidden games. (link) Only show hidden games".

(where X and Y are the user's actual numbers for the visible and hidden, of course) Unlikely, because the database they use is not GOG's. It's already one of the most complete ones (likely igdb). If it's not there, either the game is waaaay too unknown or it's not an "official" one (for example, a standalone mod game that's not available through conventional means).

Only workaround I see (UNTESTED) is adding the game (marked as owned) that's most related to what you wanted, but then 'link it' to the .exe of the game you actually want to be used. The data displayed on the game view from your library would be technically wrong, but the 'play' option and the 'tracking play time' features would work.

Its what i currently do, i just play under Stalker 2 with Anomaly, and i doubt its igdb they draw from mainly, it seems like they have their own GOG Database because igdb has for instance No one lives forever 1 which GOG does not.

Do you mean you own the game on Steam, but you ALSO have it through another way (installed as standalone perhaps)? So you need to change the linked .exe to not point to the steam one? If so, you CAN find in the GOG galaxy global search... but you have start the search with "the operative...". At any rate, that's definitely look like a BUG: the search should have found the game if you type 'no one lives forever', regardless.

That is exactly what I meant and since there are many people who already went for the steam version before even having the possibility to buy a DRM free version I doubt that the situation it is too unique.

Sure. Your original point still remains though: there are bound to be games not covered by the database. Perhaps in addition to the approach adopted by GOG, they could also implement something more similar to Steam's "add a non-steam game...", which can be any executable. A "non-databased" game added like this would have a blank game view (and not enjoy stuff like filter by genres, etc), but at least the 'play' would work.

I looooove that there's game time tracking on exe-linked games. Now I'm just wishing that could be extended to games from integrations that don't support time tracking, as well as a way to enter existing play time for games that you've had for a while that don't have playtime in a launcher.

Also, the Xbox integration is super borked still, it still shows no playtime for me on Gears 5. I suppose maybe MSFT isn't tracking it, but this would be one of those cases where it would be nice if GOG tracked it independently.

You can still add the DRM free version as an extra entry. Click on "Add games & friends" top center, search for the game, and then choose "Mark as owned" in the upper right and customize the exe. You'll have the game twice in your list and can hide the one on Steam if you like.
