The plugin for steam locked my steam account. Tried launching my steam client after trying to make the steam plugin and it said there were some network errors then tried the site and I gave me the following message: There have been too many login failures from your network in a short time period. Please wait and try again later.

Same here. I waited for 30 minutes and then was able to log back into steam.
Plugin is still not working though.

Edit: Plugin devs seem to be aware, see here

Same for me, I got quite worried then realised that it must’ve been locked when logging in via GOG & not having much luck.
Glad I uninstalled Galaxy. Steam is the one plugin that needs to work and it does not. Good idea, but not ready for prime time.
It locks my steam account too, hoping we get a hot fix as soon as possible.

Would hate to uninstall, as I've enjoyed using it these past months.

It seems that the plugin has been updated with a fix for the lock account issue.

After said this, I can't test right now, I'll do later

Edit: Tested a bit yesterday, and no problems with locks.

Well... It's not fixed, just got the same issue again and my steam account is locked as well.
Just out of curiosity for those having issues, are you using Steam Guard/2FA?

I see, I can only say that since the plugin was updated I didn't have problems to login in Steam.
Just one thing, I don't use the retry option more than a couple of times to see if Galaxy connects (it doesn't, but I think it's more related to this)

In my case yes, I'm using Steam Guard.

Bummer, I was hoping there might be a solution in there somewhere. I had a similar issue with an account elsewhere with a program that isn't compatible with any form of 2FA was locking me out thanks to it spamming login attempts. :/
I just got Steam locked too after trying to link Steam and all the other platforms, this caused me to panic and now I unlinked all platforms and waiting on Steam to let me log back on.
Please don't let people link Steam account if the service is not working, the GOG 2.0 idea and concept is awesome but this made me take as step back.

Keep it up and let us "gamers" know when stuff is ready to go, until then I unlinked everything from GOG 2.0.
Had this happen to me today. GOG Galaxy 2.0 wasn't reflecting any recent Steam activity, and sure enough the connection said Offline so I hit Retry.

A few minutes later though my Steam client kicked me out with the "Too many login failures form your network" error.
Didn't know this had been an ongoing problem for this long. I just downloaded gog galaxy yesterday and when I tried to login to steam, it would just get stuck in an endless "connecting to network" loop. Had to use an uninstaller to completely remove gog from my computer. If it affects your steam account in anyway this is a no go for me, especially seeing this isn't a new problem.
Damn I got really scared when I was suddenly getting the "too many login attempts please try again later" on my first try with guaranteed correct password every time I logged in and it would log me out after waking my PC every time I put it to sleep.
I was really worried as it was making Steam near impossible to use as it happened even after waiting. Now it seems I've finally stumbled across the most likely cause. I've disconnected the plugin and will now wait for Steam to let me back in, hopefully everything will work again now, man that stressed me out. I didn't associate the plugin being the problem as I've used it for months along with Steam perfectly and only now was it causing problems.
I will now just add my Steam games manually to GOG as I just like having everything in one place to browse. I put (Steam) e.g. "MGSV (Steam)" next to it's title then I can filter by Steam in the title to group them together in the side bar if anyone wants to know a nice way to add games from unsupported launchers. I do the same for Amazon, IndieGala and the Microsoft Store.
Phew that's a load off of my shoulders. Hopefully it's all fine now after I wait for my 30 minutes.
It locked my steam account too.
