After invoking the action "Quit GOG Galaxy" from the main menu, the main window gets hidden, but the application keeps running.

It is still available from the app switcher (Cmd-Tab), the app icon is still present in the Dock. If the Dock icon is clicked, an empty white window appears.

The Activity Monitor shows the app GOG Galaxy is consuming a small amount of CPU (about 2%).

There are no active integrations. Settings like "Track game time" and "Keep games updated" are turned off.

ST0RMFATH3R:
I'm on Sonoma 14.5 as of this afternoon but, same problem as well.
Having a similar issue. I always have to Force Quit Galaxy as it remains running in the dock when 'quit' and doesn't function afterwards. Had this issue for many months so I've little faith that the app is being maintained properly.
Same here, and now Galaxy won't even run correctly after reinstalling...not that it was running correctly before at all but it would start up.
Running 14.6.1 and still having to force quit the app.

This has been the case for so many years now I don't think it is ever going to change.
When it gets reported to them they respond with " We are aware of the problem and are investigating it"
