Uniting libraries in one place, especially GOG which is my favorite, caught my eye. But i need to ask a few things, before i decide hopping on that train, or leaving my other accounts/libraries elsewhere, to rot.

1. After installing the games i want from my other platforms, can i uninstall their client, but not the games themselves and keep running/managing them, through Galaxy alone?

2. Does importing games legitimately owned from others services (Steam, Origin, Epic), make them run DRM-Free afterwards?

3. Can somebody through Galaxy, control features on games from other services? For example, deactivate Cloud, prevent auto-updating, disable the display and sharing of game time tracked and game data?

I would greatly appreciate an official word. Thanks in advance.

Far from official, but anyhow

Except games that aren't bound by any DRM already (like some games on steam), its a clear no > Galaxy only starts the games through the other clients

No, Galaxy is only a launcher

Unless this is clearly supported by other services (which to my knowledge just is not the case at least for steam, epic, ubisoft, origin) its a clear no
Thanks. Well, the only DRM-Free game i own in other service, is Axiom Verge on Epic. Other than that, everything i own is DRMed.

No reason to turn fully Galaxy, then. Thanks for the answers. And here i was hoping to run C&C the first Decade without Origin, or Batman Arkham without Epic, as well as Curse of the Moon, FEAR 3 and others, without Steam.

That's simply a pipedream, if you want to do that, the only real option is to crack those games and that's illegal (I think certain countries do allow you to crack games that you have paid for, but dunno about which ones).

The closest you can get to that is what Galaxy will do in the future, simply open those platforms for as long as you're playing and when you're done, automatically close them again.

But you can forget about any other launcher allowing you to launch the games without their original platforms and DRMs, that's not something that will ever happen. The amount of people asking this question regarding Galaxy have no idea about how Steam, Epic, etc. and their own DRMs work.

I see. Then my only option, is wait long enough for GOG to bring those games in store.
