Hi been trying out 2.0 it looks good but being beta i recognise there are bugs, but i do admit it has potential.

But one thing i feel is missing especially with stores like steam, purchased apps, movies etc

IMHO if you want to make this a must have all in one launcher which is what i feel your aiming for, then you do need to be able to port everything across including apps.and movies.

i wont mention the lack of the community side as i bet there are multiple posts on the subject.

one question i do have as i love vr, will the future launcher have the ability to launch the VR facilities. ? without having to launch steam or oculus.bloated launchers as well.

Sorry, to understand better... you're asking for the ability to:

- play not only games but also videos (can't test that, don't own any)
- launch VR facilities (without going to other launchers)

If that's it, then totally valid suggestions!

Ehh... I really don't think it needs to do movies. that would get way too cluttered and there's already Plex which works really well.

Well, I agree with you, I was just trying to make sense of his post (English is not my first language). When I said 'valid suggestion', I meant as in a 'acceptable' one. :)

Sorry for my late reply home from hospital the last two month due to that annoying rl bug and MS, I did mean launching vr games without having to use Launchers like steam just the libs,.

it was mainly due to my oculus headset. i would love to bypass google's new move to force us all to face book (i hate social media and never use it),, that is the main reason i was curious to see if it could be done and implimented on gog galaxy.

Also i like the way gog galaxy keeps my entire collection here in one place to launch, i am making more use out of it,

To me it seams daft having two launchers running when if it could be done from 1. i am not a tech guy anymore i have been out the game for 10 years due to ill health, but when you start out coding on h basic pre windows 2 and qbasic on 3.1, optimisation is in your blood.

sorry if i was not clear but at the time i was feeling unwell, and now i know why.

Note when i suggested movies know many ppl who spend hours playing games on these launchers, it does seam to me it is a good place to promote and provide more specialised movies aimed to the game crowd,

I agree with you i do not think it will happen, but it does not hurt to have a conversation on possibilities.
hi all, this is my 1st post on a forum ever. hope i'm in the right place.

since the integrations in gog to other platforms, i think it would be awesome for the developers to add a feature to show us, while browsing the store, which games we have (which it does already) and which platform we have it on.

so i dont have to go through owned games and check if i have the game or not.

anyways, thanks for reading. feedback on this idea would be great and thank you in advance
I love GOG Galaxy, and use it instead of steam (way too cluttered and annoying popups that you can't turn off and not intuitive to navigate). But two suggestions:

1. when I perform a search or filter, then click on a title, then click the "back" button, it should take me to the previous view and not the entire overview. I don't want to have to make my search/filter again each time
2. not sure if it's possible, but to launch steam games, it would be cool to launch it with the steam application defaulting to the system tray. Just a small thing, but would make things more seamless so I can forget I have steam installed. Or maybe there's a way to launch steam games without launching the UI at all?

If GOG Galaxy is open source or if you're looking for some help, I'm a freelance software developer and would love to implement these myself if nobody has time. Hit me up!

Maybe @AndyGOGGalaxy would be interested. If you don't get a reply, open the cogwheel menu and choose Share Feedback. There's a section specifically for missing features.
