smuggly: I reported it and they are trying to say it was my antivirus and let these file through etc. Such crap. I tried it anyway. It's their problem.. CDPR has fallen a few notches.
Another stupid CDPR post about a "problem" with antivirus... this was happened some months's ago with a Outlaws's help request... (a file that is missing in galaxy version only, and they say that i have a problem with my antivirus... no comment)
The latest version of Galaxy is now 2.0.58.4, but it doesn't fix the crashing issues, at least for me. The GalaxyClientService still segfaults every few minutes. For now it is probably better to use 2.0.55 or earlier, I guess.

Yea me to. The ch. log says it fixes overlay issues
Wow I finally found my problem, I'm having problems with Watch Dogs Legion (which I'm playing on Steam) and thanks to this update my game just closes by itself
Yeah I am getting PocoNet.dll errors in Event Viewer. Here is my most recent one:

Same problem, though the best way to do this is to use GOG's bug tracker system: mantis2.gog.com

Fill everything out, copy and paste the first fault or most recent fault(s) into the proper section. Attach all the logs you can and with luck they'll figure out what's going on. No idea if the problem is still happening with the update pushed out on the 30th tho.
What gets me about these errors is it doesn't seem to effect playing games. I don't use the integrations at all though. The store works. It's strange.
You can report the problem right using galaxy.

It's impossible GOG team can't reproduce it. It happens to all users (but many don't care or keep an eye on Event Viewer/Reliability monitor) I really don't understand why the bug has not been solved yet. Instead they are focusing on other minor things like there was no bug at all... sigh...
Here to report that I am having the same issues as well.
Can we please hurry up and fix this? This has been an issue since the 2.0.56 update.
Just uninstalled it today to avoid being bothered with updates since I found both games Im playing could use their settings and saves as stand-alone installers. Happened to see this issue after. Yeah, Im done. Stand-alone only now. (STILL love the store for those though... but I love to have my games archived.)

There's a staff response trying to help people "upgrade" to the broken version. I asked if they're going to fix this but I'm not holding my breath for a reply.

Edit: another staff response just now, regarding the newly broken overlay in The Witcher 3.

I am getting the same problem and I am using Windows Defender, so they are talking nonsense.

dbartenstein: Same, and also "bad_module_info" crashes as well.
I got that yesterday and my Galaxy wouldn't update, I had to manually do it by reinstalling which worked but still didn't fix the errors.

Can concur. Galaxy asked to update itself and failed; told me to go to the web site for install media.
For those who rolled back to 1.2.67...
I've found you have to edit "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\web\scripts\mainDeps.js" changing "https://embed.gog.com" to "https://embed.gog.com/" (search for it with CudaText, or NotePad++ etc.) to make the links to STORE > "Good Old Games" and "CD PROJEKT RED" work. This way you'll have a still fully functional 1.2.67 good old GOG Galaxy client, with game updates and other features working fine and no crashes or issues ;-)
