Guys, I did a search here, and I found a news a game site in Brazil, I will post the news summarized below.
Unfortunately, the company itself closed this service, the reason being "a few years of service inactivity". Unfortunately there's nothing to be done, too bad I really enjoyed using it.
News on 01/13/2023:
GOG has announced the closure of its service called GOG Connect (12/01/2023), which allowed users to import games from Steam to the GOG platform. The decision to shut down the service was made due to its long period of inactivity and technical obsolescence.
GOG Connect, launched in 2016, aimed to integrate users' Steam profiles with GOG, offering them DRM-free versions of games they had purchased on Steam. However, the service had limitations due to contractual restrictions. Only a small number of games were available for import, and many had strict time limitations. Additionally, the tool mainly supported games from CD Projekt RED, with limited compatibility even in that case.
While GOG users had anticipated the discontinuation of GOG Connect, it was officially confirmed when the game importation page was taken down. CD Projekt stated that the service had been inactive for a long time, leading them to make the decision to shut it down.
Although GOG Connect has ended, GOG still offers integration of game libraries through its PC software, GOG Galaxy. Users can link their Steam and Epic Games Store accounts to create a unified library, eliminating the need to open multiple programs to access their installed games. However, games not purchased through GOG will still require the respective DRM and launcher.
This decision reflects GOG's current focus on re-releasing classic games that are not available elsewhere, as the platform initially aimed to compete with Valve's store but faced limitations in doing so.
