NateScion: Okay, since I haven't found a thread on this issue yet:

Does anybody have problems linking their Steam account to Galaxy? I have been in the beta for almost 3 weeks now and I try every single day and still cannot connect it to Steam. It always says "offline".

Every other platform worked perfectly for me (excepting PSN, I don't have that) and I haven't even had any of the known issues so far, but Steam just does not work whatsoever.
I disabled family view after multiple attempts with it on and it connected.

Hubador: I had the same issue. I managed to solve it by
- starting steam
- click on your steam name
- click on "view my profile"
- click on "Edit Profile"
- click on "My Privacy Settings"
- set "My Profile" on public
- set "Game Details" on public
- click on "My Profile", scroll down and click on "Save changes"

After that GOG Galaxy 2.0 connected to steam.

thanks man! it was exactly family view. gog2 starts working right after I disabled it in the steam.

I had the same issue. Changing steam privacy settings (all of them) to public helped :)

I am having the same issues with stream all my stuff is public and when I connect it everything goes well and then it turns red and says connection lost.

Hi everyone, I just want to say "Thank you !" to hxcpolarbear, I was having the same issue (steam plugin doesn't connect), and I had family view activated. After I disabled it, everything works.

I tried everything suggested here... family sharing OFF and profile PUBLIC.
But, since a few weeks I get 'No results' in the Steam section whereas before I had ~800 games in there.

HELP?!?

This really needs fixing... With family view, connection doesn't work.

I didn't set up Family View at all, it currently shows "disabled".
Still, I am not able to see anything.

It worked about a week ago or two, that was the last time I checked.


Edit: Oh well, looks like galaxy just forgot my steam account after all. All I had to do was to reconnect it.

Anyone still having this problem or is it me only, i have done each and everything which people suggests, set my steam profile to public, family view is disabled too but still it doesn't let me connect to any of the given plugins also i checked my installed plugins folder and nothing's there. Each and every time I try to connect my GOG client 2.0 with any of the plugins, it says "failed to start. retry" Can anyone help me, I send a mail regarding the issue and what they have in answer for me was completely irrelevant, they gave me answer for how to download the game from GOG client 2.0. I need help, please.

Got the same problem and like you I've tried everything suggested in this post, none of these proposed solutions have worked for me

I'm having this problem. Have a hunch that this might be related to the enormous amount of licenses tied to my Steam account (close to 2K, the bundle codes kinda piled up over the years)
