I always loved Zelda games (but I only played Ocarina of Time,a bit of Majora's Mask and Wind Waker) and this video is very interesting.
It explains, finally, the whole series timeline, and there are very interesting things,by the way.

The show is very nice to see, there are unseen artworks :)
And I think that there are different things and theory (during the first part of the video the GT guys talk about theories, but then they use the official Nintendo timeline to explain the parallel timelines very well).
I see only one flaw and it is about the four sword trilogy (Minish Cap, Four Sword, Four Sword Advenures)

1. Where was the Four Sword during what happened in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess

2. What is even stranger is that Four Sword Adventure takes place after Twilight Princess, even though Four Sword adventures feels like the exact hyrule as it was in Four Sword for GBA.

3.IMO Four Sword Adventures should have been in the Decline Timeline because Four Sword Adventures Borrows a lot from A Link to the Past.

See some similarities.
LOL, there is no timeline, each game is a "remix" of the series concepts. Hell, it's a different Link every time even!

Metroid and Metal Gear has a more connecting timeline than zelda.

Don't forget, according to Kojima, Snake Plisskin is Japanese!

Vulcan Raven: BLOOD FROM THE EAST FLOWS WITHIN [Solid Snake's] VAINS.
And now for the Angry Video Game Nerd take on it.

Also, many of my first experiences with the world wide web was reading a Zelda fan site that liked to discuss theories about the timeline, so Internet nostalgia.

I never played either of the Four Swords games, so I never noticed that before. It is shocking how the map looks like LTTP with a few bits of the Dark World thrown in like the Ice Palace in the mid bottom.

I found a contridiction:

If the Decline timeline takes place where Link was defeated by Ganon in the end of Ocarina of Time:

HOW WAS THE MASTER SWORD BACK IN ITS PEDESTAL IN A LINK TO THE PAST IF LINK HAD THE MASTER SWORD WITH HIM WHEN HE DIED?!

Make theories people :)

The vid was released in 2009, so is ti outdated?

Zelda II, Link's Awakening, Majora's Mask and Phantom Hourglass are all 'further adventures' of Links that have already been in a game.

In the decline timeline, after Link is defeated the Sages manage to seal Ganondorf in the sacred realm (translated as golden land in LttP) but in this case he is in possession of the Triforce.
It's pretty safe to assume that after sealing Ganondorf they wouldn't just leave dead Link and the Master sword where they lay.

EDIT: I am a massive, massive Zelda geek and have a pre-order for Hyrule Historia, which I cannot wait for.

Well that covers that.

But what about Four Sword Adventure's Placement in the child timeline? IMO it makes more sense if it takes place somewhere in the decline timeline since like I said Four Sword borrows a lot for a link to the past showing a connection.

There are some things even I cannot explain. :P

Another one being Twinrova appearing in the Oracle games.

*SPOILERS*

They died in OoT!

*SPOILERS END*

I guess... FSA borrows a lot from LttP design wise and even in terms of the layout of Hyrule, but it's best to think of that as real world inspiration by LttP I think rather than try and explain it 'in universe'.

Zelda has no storyline. Link trys to save Zelda, and defeat Ganon who tends to be a pig-like creature, or some other baddy, the end. They just remix the elements.

Remember, according to Nintendo, fans don't WANT epic storylines or great graphics.
