I would hire Epic Games and start making Lula 3d III, that game needs to happen!!11!!

Now seriously, I'd take 100 mil, use 50 mil to help established indie studios make games they always desired and use the rest to help projects like maia that NEED TO HAPPEN (and did) achieve their kickstarter goals.
We need new blood, fresh ideas and new approach to games, only new people can do it, I'd like to invest in youth.
I would fund Will Wrights original vision for Spore. The one he showed academics and other scientists that got me in such a tizzy of excitement.
I would bring in most of the original team behind Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy: Tactics, plus some guys with PC programming skills.

The game would be an SRPG that makes full use of the PC and features a branching story like in Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together. Gameplay itself would probably borrow heavily from Fire Emblem in terms of no generics, perma-death, and the weapon triangle, but much more tactical with thngs like positioning.

This is a game I really want and something I've seriously considered learning unity or something of the like to put together.

That could be a whole other thread, games you would build yourself if you unlimited time (but not budget).

Fesin: I would buy the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. license, then try to get as many (former) Piranha Bytes and GSC Game World employees to form a new team, and have them collaborate with CD Projekt to make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 that plays ike a hybrid between S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Gothic and a little bit of The Witcher 2.
I was thinking similar just the other day!
I would buy out Lucas Arts and set for release Grim Fandango 2, Full Throttle 2, Maniac Mansion 3, and a new Monkey Island game. Barring that, I would make an LA multi-IP adventure game based on (and using all possible) characters in one grand adventure. ^_^ I would call it Adventure Time! NO WAIT!!! Land of the Lost (Adventure games)...no wait...uhh names are hard.

...That's what she said... >.>
I'm a bit saddened by all the sequels being wished for here. New IP people! New stuff!
All my money would have to go into this game and the creators of it, just because it is a must see game.

chris20636: If that doesn't work then more Might and Magic RPG's.

My own game idea.

A mix between Far Cry 2 and the GTA games:

Basically everything that Far Cry 2 is such as the realism like the weapon jamming since all guns have a different reliability (AK 47 is the least jamming gun) and that health system, and in an African Setting.

all that combined with everything about the GTA games 4 and san andreas in perticular
(Story, mission strucrture etc.)

And for new things they could put hunting animals for reward like taking down an elephant and selling its tusk for cash aswell as atleast one city and/or a large town at least for the buisness side of the game but everything else is African Wildlife countryside. Hh and the game is in First Person View.

Basically its sort of like Far Cry 3 but no RPG grinding and unlockables, more realism, African Setting and a City with Wilderness.

Fenixp: Well if they'd hire more than one tester who's not a monkey, that'd be fine by me.
To be fair, their games are quite complex, so a lot of bugs cropping up during development is to be expected. So they'd need at least three monkeys... uh, tester people.

StingingVelvet: I know it's all based on personal experience but I have never had a bug issues with any Obsidian game.
So that means either:
1. You played NWN2 after the legions of patches came out and waited the best part of a weekend while they were all installed.
2. You have selective amnesia where negative aspects of games are concerned.
3. You haven't played NWN2.

Number one.
I'd just buy Double Fine and let them loose.
I would get the key people from Obsidian & Troika (so basically black isle?) and force them to make a story heavy hard sci-fi CRPG.
And then I would probably go all Derek Smart over it, and be so ambitious that there is no real way for the game to come out as planned.
Hire the orginal team that made Daggerfall and Morrowind, maybe add in some other industry legends

Give them a Bazillion dollars

Make them make their dream, deep, complex RPG with rich lore, story, setting and massive interaction, basically make the ultimate sandbox RPG where you can do what you want and play how you want.

Give them hundreds of QA testers

The game originally will be PC exclusive, can be ported to consoles later if the consoles can handle it

The game will have multiple expansions and be supported with countless updates and free DLC 5 years down the line

.....

.........

................

We are never getting an Open world RPG that will surpass Morrowind and Daggerfall are we?...

With all due respect I guess I can understand why

There are many, many games that truly deserve a sequel but will never get it

Almost every Treasure game ever made?
Shatterhand?
God Hand?
Okami?

I would FUCKING KILL for a sequel to Alien Soldier or Dynamite Headdy but I know that neither of those will ever, ever happen
