you can fix fat, you can't change your ethnicity.
despite the change of michael jacksons skin tone, he was still a black man.

FYI, you can actually literally eat your way to disability in America. Morbid Obesity is actually something you can get SSD and SSI for. I think it's absurd, too. It's a great system where, you can eat yourself to welfare.

If it's related to the job (e.g. Fire/Police/Mlitary), it should affect hiring and firing. Otherwise, no.
The thing I really get a kick out of is how people blame other diseases. BS. I have thyroid disease. Take your meds, you're fine. Really, people are fat because they're lazy, eat too much and don't exercise.

I agree with most of what Alias had to say.. The article, for the most part, reminds me of nothing more than sensationalist crap.
You lot on the other hand. "If you don't like it, fix it?" I mean seriously? WTF?
There are PLENTY of reasons for being overweight, and it isn't as easy to shed the weight as one might think. But it is incredibly easy to put it back on, and two fold.
Psychological state plays a part, environment, laziness (definitely), bad food, genetics, certain medications, a shit load of reasons.
Guaranteed that a lot of overweight people suffer from some kind of self-esteem issue, anxiety, or depression. So idiots who fob it off as being simple to lose the weight, or being complete and utter abusive cunts, just make matters worse.
No, fat people shouldn't be given a break. But for fucks sake, atleast be decent.

Aliasalpha: and are poor. The cheapest food is the shittiest most unhealthy food there is which doubles the difficulty on the saving throw vs fat
Its also a FUCK of a lot harder to lose fat than to not get it in the first place and the situation is only exacerbated by the brainless cunts that seem to dominate the planet. Its worse when you're actually doing really well and actually losing weight, you drop 5kg in a week and are feeling really proud of your work then some fucker calls you a fat bastard and bang goes all your confidence and motivation
Being fat is 100% my fault. I had undiagnosed crippling depression from the ages of 18-32 and when it was an effort to summon the energy to not just die of despair, its not hard to imagine how regular exercise and general health suffers. Fightkiing back from that is insanely difficult and that is the one and only sympathy I have for people in this situation. As for the rest of the things they're on about, I think they're selfish cunts who just want special treatment because they see other people getting it when they also don't deserve it. They should be fighting for overall 100% equality rather than making a selfish grab for preferential treatment
Heh I dunno who the fuck I'm trying to kid, we get 100% equality then people who want to be neurosurgeons but lack the training will start a campaign to try and be allowed to practice when they've only got a certificate in bricklaying

It's sad that a 2L carton of milk costs up to 3 times more than a 2l bottle of pepsi. Unfortunately, people need to realize the true costs of food (IE, most people don't realize that a large part of global warming is due to americans' naive insistance on eating oranges in January), and alter their diet to fit the season.
I myself, I am getting very interested in self-sustainable living, with true "off the grid" living being something I am very interested in. A good way to get healthy is to completely upend your sedientary lifestyle, with food a walk to the fridge away. The past few years, I have gotten into long distance hiking/survivalism, and I can tell you from experience that I eat about a third as much food on the trail as when I am home.
Most people eat out of boredom more than anything, and that's the problem that needs to be solved first, the boredom. If people cannot handle the self control, they should stop relying on a fridge and grocery store so much. If you understand the true cost of food, it might help curb overeating, and more importantly, pointless eating.

If you are fat, you just gotta work on it. No doubt it is going to be tough. I've been through that.
I have been fat most of my life. During my university life in Melbourne, I started to exercise regularly and eat healthy food. I managed to get a decent body back then.
Now back in my home country. Although I am stronger, I have gained significant fat.
However, that's not going to stop me from exercising regularly.
In fact, I just jogged on the treadmill for an hour last night.
Keeping fit is not a thing you can do once and forget about it, it's a lifestyle.

If someone calls you fat there is actually only one reply:
OK I'm fat, but you're fucking ugly and i can always get slimer :)
