Rolodzeo: [..] Looking forward to 8.1 Update 1 though.
Yeah, I just hope that the improvements will be better than that confusing name..

NoNewTaleToTell: Another note on Windows 8.1 (more of a compatibility thing more than anything), Saints Row 2 ran in fast forward mode on my Windows 8 laptop, but it runs normally on my Windows 8.1 laptop.
This is interesting. Any other games that don't perform well in Win 8 that work better in 8.1?

I'm noticing lotro and Neverwinter both run better in 8 than in 7, and the one game I have that wouldn't work in 8 at all, Heretic Kingdoms, I picked up on GOG to have 8's compatibility and now it runs fine.

I would be interested in learning more, last time I dabbled in 8.1 it seemed like it caused me a massive headache, though that could be from my guitar not behaving and not so much Windows.

Curiously enough, GOG supports Disciples on Vista and 8, but not on 7. On the other hand, Disciples 2 is not officially supported on Win 8 but on Win 7 (which reminds me that I need to test whether I'm still able to run it).

Dungeon Siege 1 did not work with Windows 8 last time I tried it. Have not tried it since the gazillion windows updates I downloaded upon reinstallation of the OS.

Does anyone know if DS 1 works with 8 or 8.1 these days?
