DRM-related, I think this is the same for Windows Phone and Xbox 360. Note, this is only for Metro applications, no info yet about how exactly games will DRM-ed.

"In recognition that you may have multiple PCs and are likely going to want your apps on each of them, we’ve made it easy to install and run all of your apps on up to a total of five Windows 8 PCs. Whenever you install an app on a new device, that device gets added to the list of devices that are allowed to run the app. On the sixth device, you are prompted to remove one of your devices if you want to install apps on the current device.

We also allow you to quickly filter by the apps that have been installed on a particular device. This makes it easy to take the apps you have on one device and install them on another. In fact, if those apps have implemented roaming and you have a connected account (if you sign in to Windows 8 with a Windows Live ID), the settings and state from the individual apps will also be preserved across devices."
Your view on buying games through Windows Store

My views won't matter. Microsoft won't sell games to us, that's for sure. I think they're still deeply hurt that hardly anyone wants their little (used in the loosest of terms) console toy here ;)

But if they were to decide to sell games to us, I wouldn't buy them. They'd be hideously overpriced and not worth it.

You'll also be able to submit your own applications to the service.

But again, we've yet to see what they mean by 'games' in Windows Store. I really hope the 'games' won't be of Angry Birds character.

Oh they will accept payments from Japan sure, but that doesn't mean they will sell anything. I'm looking at you GFWL store*!

* They sold specially branded GFWL points via convenience stores here for a a few years even though at that time, you couldn't purchase anything from the GFWL store. Even today, all you can get is a few Street Fighter DLC and Fable 3 DLC and little else. No full games.

GfWL is different. This one is similar to the Windows Phone Marketplace. Microsoft actually doesn't mess around with regional restrictions, everything about it is left to the publisher / developer.
