Warcraft here, the whole series. I play many games, yet there hasn't been a game that has attracted me so much like Warcraft 3 and WoW have. I tried to follow other games, StarCraft's, Diablo's, The Elder Scrolls', and The Witcher's lore / universe, just to name a few, to get more educated about them, but in the process, I always lose interest, and return to 'caring' only about Warcraft (I really like the mentioned universes, not saying they are bad, but that they don't make me that much interested to spend hours reading about them).

Even when I don't play the game, I read the forums and just enjoy the amount of posts people write about the story, the characters, what next they think is going to happen in Azeroth, from the most obvious thing, to the result of that little and simple quest you did back in 2005.

Yours?

PS... I've seen people mention that there is something underneath Tirisfal Glades... Faceless ones? An old God?
Fable! I know they're dumbed down, but I kind of like a casual action-RPG sometimes ... :)
A game that I always go back to on my PC is Mafia, such a fantastic game worl and superb story to boot. Its one of my all time favourite games.

I also every so often play through the Commodore 64 vesons of The Last Ninja Trilogy, I visit The Last Ninja Archives to see if there is anything new and actually enjoy watching others play with the longplays on Youtube.

Other than that I am pretty much into the Elder Scrolls games, so much lore to take in and fantastic landscapes to explore. There is so much depth in the books you read, Skyrim has books about the Oblivion Crisis, interesting reading another take on the story you were involved in.
Secret love? AvP2K, probably. Although it's not much of a secret...

I play Dungeons & Dragons. I'm also a Dungeon Master. Whenever I bring this up, words like disinterest, resentment, contempt and pity are never said but can be read on people's faces. No one feigns interest on or tries to understand the subject; most people turn on their heels and run for the hills, screaming. The rest are already into D&D.
I'm definitely a promiscuous gamer.

I have many, many loves.

A few that come to mind on the top of my head: Master of Orion 1&2, Master of Magic, the Ultima series (the later games), Egosoft's X series, X-COM, the later Jedi Knight games, Warlord Battlecry 3, Road Rash, the Megaman franchise (especially the NES-SNES ones), Final Fantasy IV & VI, Full Throtle, FTL.

If I really dug deeper, I could probably fork a list 3-4 times this size.

I can understand and appreciate what you are saying there.

I played Paranoia, Earthdawn, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, Rifts & Metropolis for a good amount of years and people that didn't play them just thought our group were nerdy. It was fun though, sitting around with dice, character sheets and following the story the game master had laid out whether created themselves or from a scenario book, few beers while playing and it was a fun night for everyone involved.
Treasure Adventure Game.

Played through it three-and-a-half times total and still think it's fucking amazing. My backlog grows a bit every week and TAG seems to be what I always end up playing.

A chill, semi-retro metroidvania game with amazing music and a really awesome sense of easy-going adventure.
My Amiga. ;)
secret love ? has to be age of empires 2 , i keep going back to playing campaigns specially the one on Joan of arc , i feel the game just is perfect for playing at any time
Since you mention secret love, and how it is something you must not admit often, I will have to say I enjoy playing the Dead or Alive fighting game series. I will admit it is not a very deep fighter and pales in comparison to many other fighters but it was literally the first fighting game I ever played and the childhood nostalgia of playing the first game on the Playstation is overwhelming.

I used to love AoE 2. think i burned out on it though, cant play it without getting bored
As a secret love (but i never said i didn't like it) would be daikatana. I liked it then and i still do.
Call Of Duty games...
Because of the hate people have of them Dragon Ball games (especially Raging Blast), Call of Duty series and Fable series
Although I think Raging Blast hate is much less due to the last 2 games
