Sooo ... a month and a bit ago, I suddenly decided I wanted to get my driving license. I'm 29 so it's about time. After a month of lessons, I was given a temp license to drive a car on my own. Since then, almost everyone I talked to joked "well try not to get into an accident on your first day!" and I always replied "don't worry I'm a careful driver".
Sooo ... today my father's girlfriend let me drive her car to work. And guess what happens ... just when I'm about to leave the parking lot after work, a girl decided to reverse into it. Her car's bumper shifted slightly and several pieces of paint got chipped off. On 'my' car, it seems to be limited to some chafing but nothing really bad or very visible. Fun.
So now I have the great anecdote of how I couldn't even manage a full day before I got into an accident. What are the chances of that happening anyway? And on my first day!!
So what are your "special" moments where the one thing you feared would happen, did happen, against all odds?
I hoped while I was riding my bike I wouldn't get run over. I did.

Actually, when I was 12 I got my first proper bike and ... got run over the first time I went to school with it (again, I wasn't at fault). If there was a god, he must hate me. Fucker.
Right now I am marching on a bus stop. I'm on my way to work, a night shift, to be more accurate.
For the whole day I wasn't tired, I even tried to take a nap, but I couldn't fall asleep.
When do you think the sleepiness has come? Yes, right now. When I have to go to work and when I will be unable to rest for 8 hours.

Well, we (Father, brothers, and Stepmom) went to a NASCAR (UGH) event, and I was riding my bike in the camp site, and this truck rams into me. Thankfully I blacked out (Funny feeling), so I felt no pain when I woke up. =)
Got dragged a good 60 yards, had my head ran over, gravel was lodged into my skull, I had no skin on my right leg from the middle (up and down for a total of 16 inches), and my lip was cut up bad. Other than that and having to learn to walk again I was fine.

I got bruised rips, a lot of bad chafing off my legs and arms, a black eye which I was unable to open for a week, a severe concussion and couldn't even sit upright until a week and a half after the accident :p and I also blacked out ;) Aren't accidents fun!
I'm not sure if this counts but my first time ever working was for work experience at school. You basically work for one week for free at a job. I chose an autoelectrician even though i new nothing about cars. The guy who owned the shop seemed really nice and for the first 2 days everything was going fine. He was saying i was doing a great job and i was having a good time. the start of my third day he decided to actually let me do something difficult. He wanted me to take apart an alternator clean it and put it back together. He gave me a demonstration on how to do it and i payed really close attention making sure i didnt miss a single detail. When it came my turn to do it i absolutely tried my hardest to do it. Ive never focused on something that hard in my life. Unfortunately i screwed the bearing retainer on backwards(both sides look almost the exact same) and officially fucked it. The guy was absolutely furious. He was swearing his head of ad i just kept apologizing. 10 minutes later my teacher turns up to see how im doing and sees me sitting there doing nothing. He goes and talks to the guy who says "I try and include him in something and he just wants no part of it" "He dosnt do a thing i say and has no interest in anything hes done" "he has no future in the automotive industry or the entire metal and engineering field(The only thing im qualified to do)" He told me to leave and when i came back the next day he told me to fuck off.
That was the worst day of my life. I was fired as slave labour. That experience has made me never want to get a job.

Fuck yeah! =)
'Specially during summer vacation.
If it ain't broken don't fix it.
Never patch games or update drivers unless there's a problem. Never buy programs that claim to "keep your computer up to date". Learned that one a number of times.

I managed to brick a $200 mobo by flashing the mobo. Fun fun.
Another moment...
Big Spanish test I thought with a passion I was going to fail, passed with an 89. Woot.
