I think there are many games I want to see on GOG, but there only a few instant buys - here the big ones.
Alpha Centauri - The only game of the Civ-series I never played. Beside this one I also want to see the old Civ1, Civ2 and Colonization. From hearsay (wikipedia) all rights are gone back to Sid Meier, so we need Firaxis to join.
Indiana Jones - Yes, I like Indi more than Guybrush ;-) Like many others here I really would like see all the old LucasArts adventures. Nothing more to say...
Leisure suit Larry 1 - The best Larry game. I really prefer the original text-based version with ega-graphics. Another wonderful series from Sierra is Space Quest. Kings Quest and Police Quest wasn't my taste.
GTA Vice City - The best GTA for me, because I love this special 80ies style (Miami Vice, Scarface, the music).
Doom 1 - Not as good as Duke, but also a fun game with great athmosphere and also easy to play for an non-hardcore shooter like me. It's a timeless game - a classic one.
Sensible World of Soccer - There are already 2 football games here, but beside Fifa97 and the old Microprose Soccer (my first football game) this is a real classic one (Kick Off1 was Amiga only and the other versions on pc wasn't so good). Easy to play and never boring.

Yeah, I thought of that too. We may never see EA here, but I can't stop hoping this will happen one day.

I would have thought it was reasonable to assume id will wind up on here eventually. Lucasarts seems like another logical candidate. But logic and the games industry went through a bitter divorce at around the turn of the century.

I might not be a huge fan of the company, but I can't deny it would be about the best thing that could happen to GOG, if EA arrived here.
EA do seem to be moving in the direction of logic and reason, but then they're barely on Steam, so I don't know what kind of presence we could hope they'd have here.

It's a shame all the good cyberpunk games are difficult to get a hold of these days.
I don't understand why modern developers aren't doing anything with it either.

I must say I immediately thought of Realms of the Haunting. I remember as quite an experience - not sure how it will hold up these days - but i will definitely buy it.

My most wanted from this site is: Betrayal at Krondor.
I think it would sell to practically everyone who wants to play the game because it is a supreme pain to get it to run on modern systems. Actually, it was a pain to get it to run in Windows 98, or indeed anything other than DOS.
It's a story-driven RPG with old-style gameplay from 1993. You have a 3-man party, represented by the portraits at the bottom. Combat is turn-based; there are traps (puzzles), chests with puzzle locks, and other goodies. The story was written by Raymond E. Feist
One thing that appeals to me about it is that, since it was based on Feist's world, there isn't a load of magical equipment or weapons; things are better simply because they are better quality. There is magic, since some of your characters are mages from Feist's stories; but mages are special so that it is a more low-magic world overall.
And also, I never finished it when I could run it, but I had a lot of fun playing what I did.

I second the Betrayal @ Krondor post. Wow, best RPG I've ever played, hands down. It actually made me buy all of Feist's fantasy book series (also really really good). I played that game to death!! And then played it to death again when it was released for free by Sierra about 10 years ago :)

There was a remake of that game a couple of years ago. Apparently it was just a graphical overhaul though, and didn't really fix any problems with it. Still, I'd be interested if it wound up here.

Don't the rights presently rest with Activision though? I doubt Kotick would recognise the existence of anything he can't make a sequel out of.

How about one or two golfing games, Leaderboard, Links, et al?

Commando : Behind Enemy Lines? oh what? loved this back in the 90s. Played it for more hours than I should have done, just to hear the Germans scream "Alert! Ein Terristor"
Civ2. The best of the lot. 'nuff sed.
Command & Conquer (with Covert Ops) - yes, it's EA Games now, and yes, they're freeware....a man can dream, can't he??
Mechwarrior 2, and expansions.
Warcraft 2 (and Beyond the Dark Portal expansion)
X-com / UFO games. Who's old enough to remember the Gerry Anderson "UFO" TV series? :wub:
Caeser III. Fun little RTS
Beasts & Bumpkins. Humorous RTS, in the medieval vein.
Constructor. IIRC, this was a funny, bizarre game on the SIM series crossed with an RTS.
War Inc. Another RTS. (can you see what the pattern is, yet? :P)
Wooden Ships and Iron Men. Sailing ships in the Elizabethan times. Funny, if a little non-intuitive to learn.
Archimedean Dynasty. I got this little gem as a freebie with my Settler's 2 gold pack, (I think. It was a Blue Byte game, anyway), back in the late 90s. Action/arcade, sub sim, with a little plot thrown in. Bad graphics, but amazing game. Would reallllly love this one.
Virtual Snooker, or any snooker game, I suppose. Just for the long sleepless hours :P
Deathtrap Dungeon. I loved these gamebooks as a kid, and I only played this a couple of times when it was released, but it looked fairly decent.
Warhammer : Shadow of the Horned Rat. Another RPG/Strategy game, but this was Warhammer!! Fun too.

If we can hope for nothing else, Commandos is an absolute certainty. Both developer and publisher are here, so it's just a matter of time, really.

I'll second that, there was another one that followed on from it too, Dark Omen. I remember playing those alot years ago.
Also there was an excellent Warhammer 40000 game from the same sort of time I think, Chaos Gate, that I'd love to play again. It was a turn based squad shooter in which you controlled a unit of space marines against Chaos cultists, space marines, and demons. A friend of mine still has his copy, but no matter what we tried we couldn't get it working on vista, so it would be cool to see that on here.

Yeah, it is. Although that might make it difficult on the grounds that GOG is a for-profit entity. Still, it's freely available either way.

The problem with those titles is that, while their original publisher (Interplay) already sells previous games on GOG, they no longer own the rights to make D&D games (Hasbro having granted them to Infogrames/Atari). I assume said transer of rights also limits Interplay's ability to produce new copies the existing published games, else they likely would have shown up on GOG by now.
That said, I would buy those games (again) if they appeared on GOG.
