I've been thinking about these games aswell:
KKND series (used to play this rather primitive strategy with my father back in the days)
Blitzkrieg series
And, seeing a new developer, Paradox, would be nice (Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis etc)

Anyone here who played Silver?
Also a good game is Star Wars Racer. I had very fun playing it.
A real classic is Age of Empires II and also a good but not a well known game is Highland Warriors.
it would by nice to see this games here.

I'd kill for Arcanum of steamworks and magick obscura. And Vampire the Masquerade: redemption, for that matter.

As most of you all I could make a huge list of games, but I'll mention the ones that come to my mind right away:
Metal Gear Solid
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
The Neverhood
Scorched Earth
Operation Inner Space
Vampire The Masquerade Redemption
Myst
Riven
Myst III Exile
Versailles

Elder Scroll
Syberia & Syberia 2
All Blizzard
All Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain
All D&D-based
Not bad, huh? =P

Silver looks interesting. I haven't played it though.
Agreed. It's a shame that the depth of that game wasn't matched by its sequel.
One of my favourites too.
gbarules2999: -Planescape: Torment and all of the other Infinity Engine games (I played a bit of PT and loved it)
You'd have thought that the amount of money to be made by selling that game would be enough to make it happen. That's the way the industry is though, I suppose.
I actually preferred the core gameplay improvements it had over 2004. But the release version was pretty stripped of content. The lack of classic levels was none too impressive either.
Hey, maybe we're due a miracle. You never know, right? :)
I've never heard of it. I looked it up on Moby and it definitely looks like a GOG. It's a shame that Microprose has been passed around so much. Who knows where all those old IP lie now.

Arcanum is a good game. But could seriously use a better interface. Still, at least there are a lot of mods out there for it. I can't say I liked Redemption as much as Bloodlines. But it would take a lot of work to get that one fixed up.

I'll second System Shock 2, though I own a copy of the cd it would be nice to have it on here, and to avoid the hassle of getting to work on vista. Getting the First System Shock would be great as well. Given that these were both THE influence on Deus Ex and Bioshock they'd probably be fairly popular.
While I'm on cyberpunk classics, I'd also love to see the Sydicate series on here, as well as some of the classic adventure games like I Have No Mouth, But I Must Scream and Dreamweb, but I have no idea on the legal states of any of these. I think you can still order I Have No Mouth from the Harlan Ellison webstore though.

Hell yes on all counts. Well, apart from IHNM&IMS still being available from his store. Apparently he's no longer accepting orders even though the site hasn't been updated to reflect that.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised really, I've seen copies on Amazon and ebay occasionally, but they're always extortionatly priced.
There are a whole range of classic cyberpunk games it'd be great to see on GOG, and with BASS around there's clearly some market for them.

Well, I have a few gems of my own that I would like to see here on GoG:
- Heroes Chronicles - just because it is so rare. I'm a great fan of Heroes 3, and I'm very frustrated that so far I couldn't find a place to buy Chronicles.
- Little Big Adventure (LBA) - I liked this game very much when It was released. I never owned it legally as it was never available in my country. I would really enjoy this game with cut-scenes and sound. The sequel Little Big Adventure 2 would be also a great addition to GoG.
- the RollerCoaster Tycoon series - Just plain fun.
And if possible some more free games too. I is a long time since last time I've seen a 0$ release on GoG. I know this in not economical for a profit company, but it is fun to see some really old games being released for free now and then.

Anything on eBay that even has a hint of rareness about it gets a massive price hike. I've even seen people try that with Rise of the Robots. Which was crap even back then.
There should be more cyberpunk games in general. It's a perfect theme for games, really.

Little Big Adventure, now there's a blast from the past. I don't know what hope there is of seeing any of EA's back catalogue on here though.
I liked Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, but the scenarios were far too restrictive later on. They didn't encourage you to produce the best park you could, with a decent amount of space. They simply put the shackles on and expected you to find ways of meeting the objectives regardless. Which spoiled the nature of the game really.
I don't know what you can expect from GOG in the way of freebies in future. But they're a good way to get people to sign up. It was the Beneath A Steel Sky freebie that got me to join.
