I think the mixers are a good idea, but after there are what appears to be hundreds, they start to lose relevance since there are a finite amount of games to put in one's list.

Honestly it seems easier to look through the catalog to see what you might like for a game.

Also, I thought about making what might be considered a Negative GOGmixer with games that do not work properly and have not been fixed by GOG.
I've made a mix of four games that are scorned/neglected by many, but which can turn out to be quite fun if you look at them without prejudices.

However, you may discover that a game has an aspect you haven't noticed before, but which makes it more appealing to you! :-)
About their finite number... of course, once there will be no more themes to build mixes around, but until then, let's use them and enjoy them.

Tsunami: GOG doesn't host demos. You could use the one on Steam or you can download it separately here.
I tried the demo again last night, and I have to say I was extremely impressed. I think the last time I played it I just couldn't understand the controls but I was more forgiving this time and got through it pretty well.

It's so awesome, I have full intentions of buying and playing it as soon as possible.

Navagon: Games That Kick Your Teeth Down Your Throat 1
A list of punishing games for the gaming masochists out there.
I made something like this, but rated in order of unfairness.

Unforgiving games

Let's see what you guys think!

Glad to hear it, Tyler. Happy questing:)

rampancy: Can you search for specific mixes? If so, it'd be a boon for Linux and Mac users looking for mixes of games that use DOSBox/SCUMMVM or play well with CrossOver/WINE.

michaelleung: No, you can't search GOGmixes.
That seems sad. The GOGmixes would be a lot more useful if you could search for ones you were interested in.
was about to make a thread exactly like this but decided to bump this one instead

I never really posted my GoGmix on the forums and not that many people have seen it so...

please take a look and let me know if you like it :)

Miaghstir: Prince of Persia has guns?
no

but it does have plenty of action and it's loads of fun :p
bump for a great thread

it seems that the GoG mixes have somewhat become less active over time and less people are making them, is that just me?
