Again, it doesn't matter why they are not actually providing that service as your current complaint (that they "agreed to provide a service") isn't even addressing the reason as to why they may not be currently providing said service.

Valve provide a service and at the same time don't? Sounds to me like Valve have tried to be clever but in fact they are in for a legal smackhammer.

You don't read many terms of conditions do you? It's standard fare for ALL services. Even GOG.

Actually as soon as this happened I did check the T&C's thoroughly. No where does it say they can suspend my account because they do not like me. They also do not say they can suspend my account for having acne, or a small cock. My point is they cant simply suspend/disable an account without reason. Reasons Valve give for suspension:
> Piracy/Hacking
> Payment fraud
> Redeeming Fraudulent Gifts
> Hijacking or sharing accounts
> Phishing
> Buying, Selling or Trading accounts
> Violating Steam Subscriber Agreement
None of these apply to me and certainly do not mean they can suspend your account because you wear glasses.

Is that "These are the reasons your account may be suspended" or "your account may be suspended for reasons including the following"
Also whats in the Steam Subscriber Agreement? IT might have hidden clauses about skin conditions, occular supplements or "party size" masculinity

And in your example of cable TV (which I don't bother with by the way), if there's a billing problem, then yes, the provider would be entitled to cut you off much in the same manner that a steam account can be disabled.

The majority of Valve's "TOS" are as enforcable as a contract where you agree to give me permission to kill you in exchange for a bouquet of flowers, which we all know is ludicrous, no matter *how* nice the flowers are.
PS, avoid flaming other users, especially report-happy ones like myself. You can disagree with my course of action, but since you do not know the full story, and I do not intend to share it, you have no basis with which to JUDGE that course of action. And since there is likely a pending lawsuit, I am not exactly going to "tip my hand", so to speak.

Here's a tip for you, if I wanted to flame you, I'd straight out call you an idiot in terms that are no where near as polite as that. But so far, I have not done so; nor would I, unless you keep making veiled threats.
But hey, good luck with your pending lawsuit, let us know when it gets thrown out of court -- if you ever actually get that far, that is.

Hijacking/hacking also applies to others trying to take over your account. It's a preventative measure that's supposed to protect you. But the Steam monkeys scurry home for the weekend, so it's come at a bad time for you (if that is the reason).

1) I have no interest in threats. I have no interest in status or impressions either. So, your first point shows that you not only have no idea about the circumstances of the lawsuit, but of the person you are talking to either.
2) When you show me your legal credentials, you can make those kinds of statements. Until then, you don't *have* an opinion.

Does anyone know the account name you use for Steam? Is it easily guessed or commonly used? I ask as it is possible that someone listed your account on Ebay for sale. Valve will certainly disable such accounts as soon as they are made aware of such sales. Perhaps someone listed your account name as part of a scam or one similar to it and Valve disabled the wrong account.
