Brilliant.
Another similar theory I've heard is that fear of heights, or at least that vertigo many people feel when they're up high or near a cliff face or something, can be cured by reminding yourself you are not a bird. Apparently, the vertigo is due to an ancient trigger in our brains, caused by us having something birdlike in our DNA, that's trying to tell your brain "spread your wings and fly", while the other more modern part of the brain is telling you "FOR GODS SAKE, DON'T JUMP!".
