It's not going to be LucasArts, but now I don't know what it's going to be.
They said this in response to my question about whether it had something to do with the point-&-click renaissance as of recent:
@bjwanlund Sadly no. This is going to be fun for strategy fans.
I then asked them whether it was RTS or turn-based, and they said:
@bjwanlund little bit of both :)
Now what? It can't be the White Whale, aka EA, nor can it be Activision Blizzard, unless that blowhard in charge actually thinks he can make money on our site.
So, any guesses?

Maybe something like Shogun: Total War, or Birthright.

Holy crap. RTS? Turn Based? That fits any of the Total War games like a button.
I'm excited :D
I'm starting to get a Total Warrection. Was just telling a friend the other day how awesome shogun TW was.
Probably won't be but it'd be a definite buy if it was, no idea whatever happened to my CD
Total War games would mean EA or Sega though, not sure which of those hold the rights now but they are the only 2 I know of that published Shogun.
I THINK Sega own the lot, I have a hazy recollection of EA not owning TW anymore
Now it sounds like a site change:

GOGcom: GOG.com will be in upheaval tomorrow. Sinister masterminds, unite!

nah too dull.
evil genius perhaps?
Evil Genius does sound like it could be it, especially given that it just appeared on Steam last month.
Evil Genius could be interesting. I was sorry I missed it the first time around.
it sounds like it's Dungeon Keeper.

That would be too awesome
But isn't Dungeon Keeper EA, though?

Okay yeah, you actually bring up a good point. And LucasArts was never known for their good strategy games (*cough Force Commander *cough*).
But if it was EA, wouldn't it make more sense to have some SPORTS games (i.e. Earl Weaver Baseball, the original PGA Tour Golf game pre-Tiger, etc.) in there too, along with everything else they've ever made? Heck, if they managed to put in Realms of Impossibility or even Archon, that might get interesting.
I'd personally love to see Theme Hospital. Never ever played it back in the days.
But, there's also the RollerCoaster Tycoon series from Atari. That could *technically* be considered strategy, right?
