BJWanlund: But isn't Dungeon Keeper EA, though?

Weclock: potentially, but it's best known for playing from the bad guy pov.
remember this is going to be a BIG announcemnt, it could be EA.

But its just as likely to be "free attractive members of whatever gender you're sexually attracted to and who are definitely on for it with every purchase".
I mean sure I'd buy a couple of games under those circumstances but I think EA is about as likely

Yeah, since EA has been dipping its toes into the Steam waters for awhile now, maybe they're looking for other ways to make moo-lah.

EDIT: And another thing: Maybe the fact that System Shock 2 has been on the top of the GOG.com Wanted list for quite awhile might have something to do with it, bc isn't EA the owner of SS & SS2 now?

Maybe it's Battlefront? The Combat Mission series, perhaps? When he mentioned "a little bit of both", Combat Mission's "WE GO" system was the first thing to come to my mind.
EDIT: Ooooooh, Evil Genius would be great! ;-)

Nah, because I asked about whether it was RTS (i.e. Command & Conquer) or whether it was turn-based (i.e. Civilization).
I think it's EA. It feels right, esp. since they own SimCity (turn-based strat to a degree) AND Command & Conquer (RTS).

Aliasalpha: I THINK Sega own the lot, I have a hazy recollection of EA not owning TW anymore

It's Sega.
I am gonna keep my expections down so that i won't get dissapointed later. My prediction is that tomorrow's announcement is gonna be okay for some people and awesome for others.
dudes:
evil=sinister
genius=mastermind
they were dropping a mad hint. i will bet someone a gifted gog it's evil genius.
on that note, i'm excited, it's a really good game, and it's very unique. i like new experiences in gaming.
They definitely own them NOW, at least everything from Rome onwards, its just a matter of whether they have the earlier games in the series
Then again, there IS the Total War Eras box set which has the following:
"Total War: Eras gathers Windows-XP-compatible versions of Shogun: Total War, Medieval: Total War and Rome: Total War in one pack for the first time ever, together with their expansion packs - Mongol Invasion, Viking Invasion, Barbarian Invasion and the brand new Alexander. The ultimate collection for any Total War fan, the box includes an exclusive 40-minute documentary on the making of the Total War series, a glossy Art of Total War souvenir book, a CD compilation of the award-winning Total War soundtracks, exclusive art cards and more."
Firstly that implies there might be a single licence holder.
Secondly that would be a sweet pack to have on GOG

That was pretty much the way my thought processes ran

That would be cool. Always kept hearing how fun that game was, but I never got around playing it.
Overall I just like to see the announcements though, doesnt matter if its games I yearn for or just some complete randomness. It always brings a smile to see there's new stuff that I can acquire
Strategy.. :X
No way it's EA or Sega -- if it was they would've made a big fuss beforehand like they did with Ubisoft. :)
Assuming the days come when those happen though, I will faint from joy. Also Capcom.
If the hint is as transparent as it looks it couldn't be anything else than Evil Genius, a game I've never heard of before.
But. The game isn't made or published by any studio with droolage-grade IPs to my knowledge. So why is it considered to be a big announcement?

it's published by sierra which is owned by craptivision/blizzard

if they were added, then it would indeed be a drop your pants situation.
From that wiki link, Sierra sold the Evil Genius rights to Rebellion - Who are still independent. (as far as I can find out at least)

Rebellion used Sierra for publishing for a long time, like AVP and etc..
so I think it's either Sega or Craptivision.
