wvpr: Sooner or later one of these bundles will turn out to be a giant scam.

keeveek: if somebody loves lawsuits (both from devs and customers), Im sure it will :P To prevent this, all you need to do is to check indie devs twitters for confirmation.
They could get some naive developers on board and then pocket the charity part. Or set up their payment system in a way that lets them cut and run before payout. Unlikely to get very far, but it's bound to happen eventually.
Well, I hope indie devs are clever enough to NOT sing up agreements with shady individuals ;-)

I would not really count on that.
Got my keys instantly. Can't check them yet cause I'm at work. As I see it, and as some other indie developers said, not every game can get into a humble bundle. Focusing on one and leaving the others to fail is not good for the industry in the long run.So personally I'll try to support all bundles. Pay 5$ for each and hope it helps indie developers. Or even better if you can afford it, don't buy ANY bundles and purchase games directly on the indie devs site.

I also don't have a problem with Steam. And to be honest if I pay 5$ for 7 games, that's less than 1$ per game, I'll hardly cry if I ever lose my access to them.
It's a shame :(
Steam Only = Not for me.
But, hey! There are more bundles out there, and gog winter sales are just arround the corner.
Already have them all. The only one worth are Saira and the zombie shooters.
Just bought it, Steam aint that bad :)
Wow, it took me 4 hours to log off Zombie Shooter 1, and only because my character got stuck.

Zchinque: all the games are tied to Steam
Kills it for me. Otherwise I may have purchased it.
I am going to pass on this indie bundle as for some reason i just not interested in these game.

That happened once. Last year, I think. Steam keys are hard to fake, so this is probably legit. They seem to have technical issues at the moment, but so did Indie Royale on their first try. (I'm surprised that Humble managed to kick off so smoothly)

Cleidophoros: They sent me two sets of keys but it looks like they just didn't charge me. Nothing showing up on Paypal. Nothing showing up on my credit card payments, nothing showing up on provisions. I have no idea what's going on.
Keep waiting.

I actually got my keys before I got charged, heh.

IIRC it has already happened. Some german guy that had committed several frauds before got some indie developers to agree to sell their games in a PWYW bundle. I think the games included Aztaka and Bob came in pieces. I could be wrong but I think Tantrix denounced that guy here and he was threatened with legal action but luckily nothing came of it and the indie devs decided to leave the bundle.
So does anybody know who is behind IndieGala? Wolfire and Desura are behind HIB and Indie Royale respectively so they are trustworthy but I don't see anything about the IndieGala guys other than that they are from Italy.

Do you think Gala could get legal Steam keys out of gloom?

Since they are separate keys for each game then they must be gotten from the devs directly and considered "retail" keys. I think each developer that decides to have keys redeemable on Steam has the control over the generation of the keys themselves. For example, AI War and Mount&Blade where the retail keys can unlock the steam-less demo and also be redeemed on Steam.
The HIB is different because they got Valve to create a single key for the whole bundle. I'm not saying that they are frauds, only that it could happen and we don't know anything about them.
