EDIT: I have many memories of our family holiday vacations when I was a kid. One funny incident was when the family had a one day stay over in Dubai at a four star hotel. My mom and dad had one room, me and my sister had our own separate room which was pretty sweet. In the room there we had an assortment of chocolates,candies and other confectioneries but we knew better not to take any because the hotel was gonna charge double the cost when compared to an outside market. So the next day when it came time to check out the reception counter told my dad that we had taken a small pack of peanuts in the room and therefore have to pay for it. My Dad got really angry at my sister and me chastising us for taking the peanuts from an expensive hotel. We told him we didn't take anything and tried to reason that out of all the amazing chocolates and peanuts why would we take a lousy packet of peanuts that you get for free on an air plane. But my Dad was not convinced and kept admonishing us while paying for stupid peanuts, he was actually more angry because we were getting late for our flight because of the debacle. It was only when we were on the plane and he had time to settle in when he believed us then cursed the Hotel saying it was probably someone in room service who almost cost us our flight home. There are a lot more crazy stories like these but I am holding on to those for my memoir. :P

Generally I am one who does not dwell in the past. Alas, if I think of memorable Christmas events it brings to mind my cousin who died Christmas Eve getting hit head-on by a drunk driver who had fallen asleep and crossed the median. To make matters worse, at the funeral, the pastor dared to suggest she might not go to heaven because she had moved in with her boyfriend prior to marriage. Sorry to be a Debbie-downer. Here's to her, and may that pastor get what's coming to him for his insensitivity at a delicate moment. May God work in mysterious ways...

I already have all of those, not that I know how much reputation I have or how to improve it <_<; been here about a year and never post on the forums lol

Anyway favorite christmas story was when I was a child. Woke up to a sound from the living room in the middle of the night and saw mom and dad with a couple of presents they were wrapping and putting under the tree. I remember the wrapping paper was the same as 'santa' usually used. Dad explained that this year santa had been running late, due to rudolph hurting his leg, and thusly had to leave some presents for the parents of kids to wrap for them so that he'd make all his trips on time.

Feel like a goof believing that now, but.. it's amazing what kids can be made to believe.

Not the strongest of memories but a fun one nonetheless. One year my family went to the beach for New Year's just for something different. While out to dinner we noticed a ball drop being held in the parking lot of the strip mall next door. So when we were finished we took a walk over and hung out with the small crowd for a little bit then I grabbed my youngest brother and ran in front of the local TV network camera that was filming the celebration and screamed appropriately.

I never did find out if we made it on air though.
