I've heard there is some reason to be systematic that way. Personally, I mow in a pretzel pattern, and am just happy when the grass gets shorter.

There is and that's why golf courses do it (especially on greens), the shorter you cut your grass the more it matters, but ultimately won't make too much difference the way most homeowners treat their lawns. I was just wondering if she did since she has the groundskeeper husband.

I was thinking that the mower is so big and the yard so small that she doesn't really have that option. XD But, yeah, I think she does. Really is one of the best lawns in the village, though. Another great bit of lawn is found at my chiropractor's house, since her husband manages a lawn care business. He does alternate the mowing, as does a neighbor of theirs a couple doors down, also with a very nice lawn.

I found that it is a better use of my time to work overtime on one Saturday a month and use the money to hire someone to keep up my yard. My yard looks better than I could do myself and I have more time than if I did it myself. (Though I do enjoy the occasional yard project but it is nice not to have to do it when I do not feel like it)

If you would rather hire somebody to take care of your lawn than do it yourself, you may need a payday loan to help get started. Every season has something brand new that has to be done in the yard.
