It might already be off. :P

Just kidding. Hopefully someone can give you an actual helpful reply instead of my silly, unhelpful one.

Ha nice
I don't have an Xperia, but on my Nexus tablets you just go into Settings > Language & Input and uncheck Spell checker.

I have an Xperia Play so this may or may not be useful, but I did it by clicking the spanner icon on the keyboard. This should take you to the keyboard settings, then choose text input settings. The option is called "Word suggestions" and there are various choices. I changed it from the default to "suggest words, don't correct automatically", but you can turn it off entirely.
