In honor of the new year, and before it leaves the collection, I'll be giving away a copy of XIII.

The rules are simple, tell me about your favorite Indy game from GOG this year.
Please have one star or include a screen shot of the game in on your GOG shelf and jot down a few lines regarding why it's your favorite Indy game from GOG this year.

Obviously time is limited so I'll be selecting a winner randomly (from among the qualified posts in this thread) within the ball park of the next couple of hours (time is subjective and so is the close of this giveaway so act now ;) ).

Cheers and happy new year!
Legion

It would be SPaZ, but that's not on GOG.
My favourite indie GOG game is FTL.
Been having lots of fun with this over the past few days.
Spacechem, I think. Might be Primordia, but I haven't been able to buy it yet, I've only played the demo.
I will go with FTL as well.
To be honest, I'm a sucker for a space game. But what's great about this game is that you ca easily jump in it. You get random encounters and have to find, barter and fight your way through the universe. No run is ever the same. And you don't have one way to achieve your goal. Wprst pf all. when I just got it and started playing it around 4pm. When I went to get a drink, it was 4 am already.

Thanks for the giveaway! Have always been wanting to try XIII. Will attach a screenie in a sec.

Happy new Year RoseLegion, and thanks for doing this giveaway! ^_^

My favorite Indie game in my collection is Trine, because: It's beautiful, fun, original. You can tell there were so much heart put into this gem... it's full of small nice details, good control, beautiful score... it's really nice.

Thanks, and +1!

(I have to go, it's almost 0:00!! ^_^)

My favourite this year, if I am forced to choose, would have to be FTL: Faster Than Light. For me it really captured the Star Control space opera feel and modding could allow it to expand in any number of directions (I have similar hopes for Legend of Grimrock too).

Runners-up include La Mulana (metroidvania goodness), SpaceChem (challenging programming puzzle game), Legend of Grimrock (EOB/Lands of Lore/Dungeon Master nostalgia), Primordia (fun but very short adventure game) and Hotline Miami (surreal frantic action), each a great game on its own right.

Not entering, but thanks for your generousity RoseLegion! +1
:(

It's still 10pm here, I'd decided to end the giveaway with a bang by gifting one to all participants (5 copies isn't really that much).... and it's already gone. I guess either I miss read the timing or my time conversion skills failed me.

In any case as a consolation I will offer this, all participants please PM me with your e-mail and desired $2.99 game before the end of the GOG holiday sale and I will send you that game.
I'm sorry that this giveaway got a bit mucked up.

Cheers,
Legion
Apparently it's gone now : (....what a woefully underrated shooter. . +1 to the op for his generosity and congrats to all the winners....god thing I purchased the darned game before it went off the shelves.

RoseLegion:
Please, don't feel bad about it. Is not your fault that the game isn't available anymore ^_^
It is also very kind of you to gift some games to us, but I'll pass on your generous offer. I was trying my luck with XIII, the game that I couldn't buy in time, and now that is gone, I wouldn't feel right to choose another game just because somebody else will pay for it.

Thank you very much for your generous giveaway. You deserve another +1.
I wish you a Happy New Year!! ^_^
I played treasure adventure game this year and it surprised me. It was so much fun, balancing a vast array of environments, challenging but not overly difficult gameplay. When playing, you really feel a sense of discovery and accomplishment. Best of all, it was free on GOG.

It was one of the few games I played through to the end and completed. I highly recommend!

Even though the giveaway is over, I wanted to share :)

FTL, the most magnificent space ship simulator I ever played. I know the giveaway is over, but i thought i would post to keep XIII's memory alive a bit longer (<<<DRAMATICCCC)

Not in, but thanks and +1.
Not entering either, in case the giveaway is still running, but I just wanted to come and say that it's nice to hear people give such great feedback on FTL; I bought it from the End of the World sale but haven't tried it yet. I guess it will be an interesting game to play once I start it. A friend recommended it since the game apparently made him jizz his pants.

While it certainly IS a great game, I find myself rather concerned about your friend....
