Ok, so I had a couple of old Xbox original controllers lying around and I found a tutorial on how to make them work on my PC, so I took the breakaway piece off a broken controller (I tested to make sure the breakaway bit was fine), and an old usb mouse, and got a friend of mine who is very experienced in soldering stuff, and so we replaced the head with a USB one, installed XBCD, and it worked great (this was a few months ago).

I recently unpacked it when I shifted, and now when I plug it in after installing the XBCD it says it doesn't recognise it, and I used USB view and it says 'The Device was not enumerated' whatever that means.

How can I fix this? I would hope it is not the cabling...

Thanks,

sv

I'm assuming that 'shifted' means 'moved'.

Sounds like you might have a physical problem. Did you peep it's guts since this happened?

Yeah, moved house.

I haven't done anything more than plug it in, I didn't want to break anything more.

Yeah, moved house.

Is your new house close to your friend who did it in the first place?

The innards might have shifted.

Yeah, same property, different house. :)

You mean the soldered cables (innards)? And if I take the heatshrink off will I damage anything?
