I'm getting an Xbox 360 when I get back to America, my girlfriend already has it in-hand. I want to play some new games on it to test "going console" but more importantly I want to play some of the best games of the last 6 years that never made it to PC.

Reach back in the memory machine and think of some awesome ones for me.

Already on my list:

Condemned 2
Goldeneye
Gears, Halo and Fable games that never came to PC.

Also The Darkness is amazing, but I played that before on a friend's machine.

I heard Condemned 2 was more of a simplistic console shooter than the first, very good, game.

There is some pretty good downloadable stuff that hasn't hit PC yet. But given the amount that has made the jump in the past year I feel that yet may be the operative word.

I know I want that Metroid style game Epic published... can't remember the name of it.

I don't like buying downloads on a closed system but will make an exception there.
Red Dead Redemption and Battlefield: Bad Company were good games.

Yeah, that's one of the ones I was thinking of that hasn't (and most likely will never) wind up on PC. Likewise can't remember the name of it though. I think the name was pretty generic-sounding.

Red Dead is definitely one I'd get if I was getting a 360.

It's Shadow Complex, which is awesome.

Here are some others I could recommend
Bayonetta
Project Gotham Racing 4
Red Dead Redemption
Tales of Vesperia
Vanquish
These are all great suggestions. I would also add these:

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Lost Odyssey
Enslaved

Also, it's been said multiple times, but Red Dead Redemption can't be endorsed often enough. There's just nothing really like it on PC that I can recall.

Copying ViolatorX's format.

Retail
Dead Space (1 & 2) -Horror RPG [These two games are top of my list because they are incredibly well made!
Dark Sector -Action
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -Medieval RPG
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion -Medieval RPG
Dragon Age Origins -Medieval RPG
Dragon Age II -Medieval RPG
Dark Sector - Action RPG
Allen Wake -Horror
Portal (1 & 2) -hmm... 3D platformer, Play these.. It's a must and they are cheap. PLAY THEM!
Perfect Dark Zero -Action Adventure (the online is the best part, and it was a launch title [It's only $1.00 +shipping now a days] )

XBLA
Geometry Wars (1 & 2)
BloodyCheckers
Perfect Dark (the old N64 game remade)
Batman: Arkham Assylum and Arkham City
Burnout Paradise
Dragon Age series
Dark Souls + Demon's Souls
Battlefield 3 if you trust the hype.
Borderlands (A sequel is coming up if you want to wait for that)
Splinter Cell series
Ninja Gaiden 2
Grand Theft Auto 4
Assassin's Creed Series (If you care about the story, go it in order. Otherwise, start with the second game or wait for the third to come out soon)
Asura's Wrath (Suggested Rental than purchase)
Bioshock series (I prefer the first to the second, a new title releases this year)
Brutal Legend (Stars Jack Black, what's not to love?)
Bully (A Rockstar Title that got a judge to publically denounce Jack Thompson's opinion. Yay!)
Dead Rising Series (You'll prefer the story in 1 but the freedom in 2, DLC and Case West to avoid unless you care for story sake)
Fable Series (My favorite is 2, but the whole series is pretty linear despite the areas you can go)
Fallout Series + DLC (DLC adds story, play time and more. Start with Fallout 3 for story + simplicity or New Vegas if you want to focus where the first two games existed + all enemies free to fight from the beginning, even when one hit deaths occur)
Gears of War Series (I've heard that 1 is better than 2 but I've only played the second)
Halo Series
Hitman Series
LA Noire
Mass Effect Series (If you don't mind DLC for game 3's ending)
Overlord Series (Suggested Rental)
Prey (Suggested Rental, new title recently cancelled I believe)
Prototype (Suggested Rental, sequel currently released)
Saints Row Series
The Darkness Series
The Elder Scrolls Series
Bayonetta
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Suggested Rental)

There's some decent titles on XBL as well, though I've only purchased and played Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. Most downloadable games offer a demo.

To reiterate from the OP: I think StingingVelvet is looking primarily for games that never made it to the PC - i.e. best of the XBOX exclusives.

I haven't the time to look for which ones have a PC copy. Besides, I think out of my list at least only Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Battlefield are on PC anyway. There's Assassin's Creed 1 but a PC version is fairly new. I don't recall if Dragon Age is PC. Meh. I leave in a little while, I'll come back and revise it within the hour.
