Soon to come here? :P
GODS YES!!!
Insta-buy if it does ^_^
mind you, I want my British "UFO : Enemy Unknown" title for it :P
That would certainly secure the holiday festivities for GoG, if X-Com showed up here.
Unfortunately, it's only for the US.
Hopefully they'll released it here as well. I would buy it almost immediately upon release here.
If the X-Com games do show up here, I hope they actually work, unlike the copies Steam sells.
Well, with that, they're available everywhere but here. I'd say GOG is next. ;-)

Really? I've not had any problems. What problems have you had?

I'm pretty sure the DOSBox-based ones worked fine, but Interceptor is plagued with crashes and missions that cannot be completed due to bugs and Enforcer wouldn't even launch for me.
Weren't those 2 considered somewhat buggy and shit when they first came out though?

The only one I had played before was Interceptor on an old Win98 machine (I still have the disk somewhere I think). It worked fine back then, no significant bugs at all that I remember, but it wouldn't work at all once I moved up to XP. About the only advantage the Steam version has over the original is that it actually does launch on XP... right up until it randomly crashes or gets stuck with the "impossible to complete" mission bug. This is of course after Steam claims... are you ready for the big lie... the game is XP compatible. It was the first and only time I bought an old game from Steam, lesson learned, only buy from GOG.
If Impulse only has it for the NA region, chances are that it will not be coming to GOG soon (due to GOG's policy on regional restrictions).

Not really sure what the reason for the regional restrictions on Impulse is. All the X-Com games have been available worldwide on D2D for some time now, so the regional restrictions don't seem to be coming from any kind of universal policy by the publisher.

Launch, compatible... so easy to get those words mixed up!
So your Xcom Interceptor is my Hitman Codename 47 then? I've learned the same lesson

What problem do you have with Hitman? You aren't by chance trying to run it on a laptop, are you?

As it happens I am, surely that can't be the cause of the speed issue though. I was assuming the cause was a 1.4ghz (per core) processor rather than the P2-300 or whatever it expected
Basically the issue I have is that its unplayably fast, I have to use the console to set the slowmo cheat to run at about 0.35 speed which is okay in most situations but you REALLY notice the speed drop when the screen gets cluttered then. When in the outdoor jungle mission the speed shifted around so much that I had to use the console every few minutes to tweak the speed. All that irritation was at least tripled when doing ANYTHING that took you away from the main game display (such as checking the map to see where the hell you had to go or opening the menu) also reset the cheat making you input it all over again. It just got to be more work than play.
