Vagabond: Don't get them if you're unwilling to do something akin to dissertation research to learn how to play.

TheEnigmaticT: Ouch. That steep a learning curve?
I bought the superbox or whatever it was, I tried one of them... it was an achivement for me just to manage to change system. and with how many buttons I had to keep track of, it felt like I was actually flying a ship

Wow the X series sounds insane. Is it worth the time?
Its really easy with the interface with Terran conflict though, But when it comes to building your own trade centers and stuff, Even the pros find that a hassle
Try Evochron mervenary.
superb.

Vagabond: It's definitely a "have to have the manual out" game.
Oh, that's not too bad. Forgive the terrible image quality; left the real camera at home today.

And before you go nuts, that's from my personal games collection, not necessarily from GOG's upcoming games list.

Do the X games come with keyboard overlays?
Those were the days.

TheEnigmaticT: Reeeeealy? I've been thinking about buying the X series for more than a year now. I should go Google it.
Oh no no no, don't you dare getting it! GoG's customer support is slow enough as it is, without you taking on a second job!

You have no idea how hard it is for the testers to do their job without fingers. They're so happy they could clap!
I found it wasn't that hard to get into, but I REALLY love space sims, so I probably have more tolerance than an average person in that regard.

X2 was the reason I bought a good joystick.

Anyway, awesome news!
and you guys or people like you are the reason we no longer have good combat flight simulators every month. :p

The children of Kerensky....! I mean, this game looks absolutely amazingly beautiful. And it's sci-fi, which is always a plus if it's a good game.

Keyboard layout doesn't look any more confusing than any number of other games I've set hot keys for.

This is firmly in the WANT pile.
I really want to know if egosoft is really just 20 employees

20... And they make a MASSIVE game like this

EDIT: i think its gonna be easyer than X3TC to play coz on the deep silver site it says
Gameplay, controls and UI are redesigned from scratch

I'd be amazed if they didn't hire outhouse for the 3D modeling, concept art, character designs (are there any actual characters in this series?). Wouldn't that free up a lot of time for the game play aspect itself?
