At the end of march I got a bonus code for any $5.99 GOG. I had no need for it and I kept it for rainy day but today, just for kicks, I checked it and I got message: “Code expired on August 31, 2012”. Well it’s not a big deal – I’m just a bit confused because I was certain GOG bonus/gift codes do not expire. Possible someone else has old bonus code (short one XXX-XXXXX) and could check if it is still valid?

tburger: snip
Why the hell would you keep it for so long?

Please get in touch with our Support department about this and we'll see what can be done to resolve this for you :D.
I think they last for a year. Gamersgate's blue coins last forever if they have been purchased. It'd be nice if GOG had some sort of similar safety system in place for these instances.

I guess he had no need for it and he kept it for rainy day, but that is just my guess.

Oh please. That's just wild speculation. As if it hasn't rained in Poland for years.

And that's how he found out the code expired! :)
There, we've just proven GOG gift codes affect central european weather patterns. Or vice versa. All thanks to Licurg.

Short version: Buy Sacrifice -> bad weather in Poland.

Yes, but only tburger found out three days ago that his code expired. Bring a man heavily to cry, is that what you want gog?

A couple of days (maybe a few weeks) ago I redeemed my bonus code from TW 2. Which was over a year old. Don't know why your code expired earlier.

You're assuming those people actually bought the game.

This is science, there are no assumptions. So the real correlation lies in:

Licurg tells people to buy Sacrifice -> bad weather in Poland.

Following that chain of logic, wouldn't it always be raining in Poland?

Preposterous. After the skies clear like so many times before, Noah will just look stupid in his big boat full of animals.

Hmm...perhaps. But if that were so, we'd need to do more work.

How many times Licurg tells people to buy Sacrifice -> how bad the bad weather in Poland is.

EDIT: But then that raises another question: How many times can he tell people to buy Sacrifice before there's a monsoon?
