Just Impulse .

Trying to leverage their place as a large retailer of console games to force publishers to make concessions for selling games in Impulse (even assuming they have enough clout to pull this off) is setting themselves up for a major lawsuit for anti-competitive practices. Gamestop already isn't particularly popular with many publishers due to used sales, and I'm sure several of the large publishers wouldn't mind the chance to take Gamestop down a notch if they started engaging in clear anti-competitive practices.

I actually agree with you.
I just think that they might try it anyway (wouldn't be the first time) on a more limited scale than forcing publishers to give them exclusives.

I have no personal experience with Gamestop so I don't know what they might do, and I'm indifferent toward them.
Trying to leverage their retail power to favour Impulse just sounds like a potential strategy they might go for.

No one is talking about actual force, we are talking about using their relationships with publishers to get deals in place for PC DRM and Impulse integration.

Maybe Gamestop will transform Impulse a Green Man Gaming clone .

Any sign of financial trouble for Impulse is a good sign for me. I hate that place.

What is your favourite service ?

I never got all the anger towards Impulse - except for the fact that they didn't make their promises come true. I used to love Impulse a great deal but their sales have been disappointing compared to those of Steam, D2D and Gamersgate. If possible, I always go with Gamersgate or D2D.

My feelings towards Impulse are as a direct response to the actions of its staff. In other words, the blatant lies and immature behavior displayed when taken to task over said lies.

Ah you mean the owner right? I mostly ignore him and his self-destructive behaviour. The staff itself has always been friendly and helpful (far more and faster so than GOG, to be honest) and any problem I had was always solved very quickly.

No, I mean his staff who use Twitter, post on the forums, etc. The ones who, from time to time, will stalk anyone who says a bad word against them, or at other times, will block you from being able to reply (such as on Twitter) when you mention the negative points of their service or question them about a claim they have made. That to me does not come across as helpful, friendly or even professional.

They've just been jerks to me when it comes to customer service.
