It might be the same for GOG, there's been no statement as of yet.

Edit: concerning Don't Starve Together, I don't know what The Last Door is.

Details pls!

If this turns out to be true, it's time to add them to the list.

Don't starve Toghether:

"Don't Starve Together is a standalone multiplayer expansion of the uncompromising survival game, Don't Starve. NOTE: Players who currently own Don't Starve on Steam will get Don't Starve Together for free when it exits Early-Access."

The Last Door Premium Campaign:

Hi there friends! This is The Last Door team speaking

You know, it’s time to look back just for a moment. This has been a stressful yet exciting year. We’re really grateful for all the support given by the Steam community; for the topics, the discussions and the feedback. We want to shout out loud THANK YOU for being there :).

We hope you’ll be with us on the long road that’s still in front of The Last Door, so we want to share with you a special campaign. If you bought the game in Steam, you can send us a purchase proof and you'll receive a great discount specifically made for you,

Becoming a premium user in our website entitles, among other stuff:

-Our (great) soundtrack by Carlos Viola

-Play the beta and help shape the final version of the episode. Contribute ideas and get featured in the final credits!

-Access to new episodes as they’re released

So how’s the process? Very easy.

Send the purchase proof to promos@thelastdoor.com and we’ll send you a link explaining how to become premium with a discount. Just a few steps, and you can join "the premium side" and help us to keep doing the job we love!

Thanks pals and nice holidays!

UPDATE: some of you have had problems finding "the purchase proof". We mean the mail that Steam send when you buy a game :)
Well, that sucks :s

I don't care about Don't Starve and The Premium Campaign for Last Door is basically just signing a premium account in their website with a discount (which I don't care about either because it is only to play the episodes in the website), but it definitely sucks that GOG is excluded :(
Concentration of all power onto a single platform will only be bad for the consumer and the platform. Look at what we have now-Gamestop is kinfi-pointing triple A companies into exclusive content and they're simultaneously being taken less and less seriously by everyone each passing day. Soon, Steam may be just a dead DRM like UPlay and GFWL and the key resellers will be the ones making the money. Steam curates none of what they have. But the sales and bundles on key resellers are creating a similar environment where more and more people are buying only on discounted prices. The Steam age will soon come to an end!
From the Klei Entertainment FAQ post on the forum:

-----------------------------
Is Don't Starve Together available to non-Steam users?

Don't Starve Together uses a lot of the Steam API's to function, hence, at this time, Don't Starve Together is only available on Steam.
-----------------------------

I guessed that would be the case the moment I read it was a multiplayer game.

As for The Last Door, they do say that it's a thanks for feedback from the Steam community, but I figure that it won't hurt if some GOG owners of the game e-mail to ask them if proof of purchase from GOG is good enough. It seems though that it's just a discount, not "freebies" as the OP posted.

Anybody tried to send GOG purchase mail? :)

Have you contacted the devs to hear from them? Klei is just notifying people who already own Don't Starve that they don't need to buy the expansion as long as they wish to wait.

Can't believe they didn't include a good old LAN or Direct IP mode (ala Divinity OS) from the beginning. Just last night I was telling my friend about the upcoming multiplayer mode for this game and how great would it be to play it together. She never played it before but likes the game's style and art direction.

I'm pretty pissed at such a bad decision from Klei, expected better from them.

I think it's a natural first step to aim at a big market with a good networking API. Perhaps GOG Galaxy will help. I understand the disappointment though.

I will have to find myself the littlest of violins once Steam does something that totally screws over all these devs who put all their eggs in one basket.
Here it reads like GOG user will also get Don't Starve together:

That's a ridiculous statement if I ever heard one. They even publicly announced that players can have their own choice of private player servers with up to six people, or dedicated servers for up to 20 people.
edit: so if indeed the private servers used Steam API, why can they only have six people?
