I'm not a fan of today's wrestling product, but I was a big fan from 1977-2006. I still watch old ppv's & dvd's just because I enjoyed the older stuff so much.

So are there any decent PC wrestling games? I've played some older console games & I like an easy-to-learn grapple system, like the FIre Pro series and the WWF No Mercy game engine (which also included WCW Revenge & WM2000). I didn't like the games where to execute one move you needed several joystick motions & button combinations.

So, recommendations anyone?

Thats about it.

As for today's product... it is getting better. Well TNA is getting worse.... but nevertheless.

May I also suggest RoH to you? They have one of the best rosters in the business. It is my dream to work for them one day.
I seconded RoH!

Been following them for about 5 years or so and the product is awesome.

I plan to hit the live show up in few weeks.
I don't get ROH in my area. :-( Really wish I did though, I became a huge fan of Samoa Joe during his first 2 years or so with TNA.

Any recommendation on which WWF/E pc games have a decent grapple system?

They are losing alot of there best guys anymore though...

Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE)
Tyler Black (Blacky McTylerson in WWE... Okay probably not, but that was the Dave Prazak line of 2010 in my eyes)
Nigel McGuinness (Desmond Wolfe in TNA)
Kevin Steen (Although I think that it might be a work in his case)]
Delirious (or so it seems)
Austin Aries (yes he is still in the company, but they never use him so he might as well be gone).

Do you have HDnet?

Also... the best Grapple system would be RAW... but that isn't really saying a whole hell of a lot

That's true. But the product is still strong as ever with excellent booking, My friend whom attended their lie shows on frequent basis has been nothing but rave about them. I'm going to hit up the show and just have fun, that's all. :)

Well to be absolutely fair, there are tons of mods for Raw. Some supposedly fix some gameplay issues whereas other fix the graphics, change arenas, add wrestlers, & add commentary.
Would mods be okay with the OP?

I don't see why they wouldn't be in this case.

If it makes the game playable, sure. An easy to learn grapple system is my biggest concern, that's why I loved the Fire Pro series & No Mercy.

I never got into Fire Pro... In had Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for the PS2 but couldn't figure out how to make the grapples work out in my favor. I would get a move off seemingly randomly occassionally & all that, but nothing at all consistent. It bothers me really badly because they are supposed to be the best wrestling games on the market, but I just can't do shit with it.
Robert, I share the same sentiment about Fire Pro. I bought it for cheap and play it on PS2 but was very disappointed in how it plays. However, I just set up the tournament in that game and clean the house while watch it for lulz.

I know right... another thing that annoys me is the creation mode. I can't make a gut in that mode that looks even remotely like me.... & forget my moves.....
I didn't really bother with creation mode because it's like trying to build the rocket in language that I have never heard of. I saw some fantastic stuff on youtube from that game but for pete's sake, I couldn't really understand how they do it.

I even had epic tutorial from walkthrough website to help me but it's like trying to using nuclear book for building the bomb at last minute..
