GameRager: I wonder if they cleaned up the roleplay smut town?
avatar
KavazovAngel: Goldshire? I will personally murder everybody at Blizzard if they do that! :D
Smutshire more like it. One reason to not play Wow....newbies walking into goldshire run the risk of getting 2girls1cupped to death, wow style.

GameRager: I'll beg for IRL monies....it'll be epic. Or I can make an afro monk and say the pool's closed to trial players. ;)
Well, congratulations. You've managed to finally disillusion me.
You might as well claim that you weren't serious about this, but to even come up with such reasoning and build upon it requires a certain malicious attitude :\.

Dude, it's Blizzard. That makes it ok. ;)

Plus I was half serious, half joking, but still imo it'd be funny to troll staff on wow for any reason really.

GameRager: As I told OP it irks me about that...because the only ones to see every bit of content are those who started early and stayed in for awhile. Gah. I'm glad some run "free" private servers that run the older expansions(vanilla/Lich King/Burning/etc.) for those that want to play the different flavors of wow.
avatar
Miaghstir: I've played since before the launch (open beta, then closed European beta, then retail since about a month after the European launch), and it still annoys me that I can't access the old content, so yes, I agree with you.
WoW has been adding/changing/removing content for a long time now though. Even though Cataclysm made the most dramatic changes, there were already pretty big changes at various point (Onyxia in the Wrath expansion comes to mind).

It would be nice having a "Classic WoW" server for nostalgia sake, but it would be problematic at best, since people are nostalgic about different parts of the game (I personally loved the Burning Crusade part). Not to mention, there's a pretty good chance that people wouldn't really want to get involved in the painful leveling process and other grindy elements that characterized early WoW.

Well, you can't troll much. You will get instantly reported and suspended from public talk for some time. :p

The game has GMs on every realm, so they immediately react to these things. :p

Isn't that place now phased so you won't be bothered by low-level "sex-role-players" once you go high enough?

Dude, I LOVE Blizzard. You're digging yourself even deeper.

Doing things solely to annoy others is something I find repulsive. I enjoy being kind, beaming at others and making them happy; polar opposite.

Oh but I can be subtle.....and I would be doing it for the greater good and all. *starts chanting "The Greater Good!"'*

For those thinking about playing for the first time, you can download the big 130 pages colorful beginner's guide from your Battle.Net account. :)

Well, that sucks, I suppose.
No risk for addiction then, the threat has been contained. :D
This is just silly, but I suspect it's really just an extension of their trial account feature, with the hope that they'll lure more people to their crack.

GameRager: I so wanna troll Wow now with this shit.....make an account called Jewnosian(after Spaceballs the movie) and go around begging for gold/money to buy a true wow account.
actually a good idea, hehe... but well i dont think it's worth downloading few GB and waste hdd space for this title.

I wish I had played on your realm. It sounds magical. That's quite the opposite experience I had for the four years that I played.

Yeah I guess. Plus I got a free month of ST: Online when I bought it on a Steam sale for 4-5 bucks. Still haven't activated my account but I have the key in Steam to use when ready.

That bad huh?

Also I don't get how bad language/etc is punishable/bannable in Wow but Goldshire gets a free pass. :\

Not saying i'm for or against Goldshire 100%...just wondering, ya know?

DARN, i haven't played wow in months but there goes my notion of being able to transfer my Hordes gold to my alliance characters, which would have resulted in me probably renewing for a month, Bah!
