First thing that sprang to mind was To The Moon.

I didn't say I feel that way, I was only adding to tinye's list of games you need brass ones to dis around here.

First that spring to mind is "Platoon" (I think I played it on my Atari 520 STF). Now, that was a game that was spectacularly crappy game.

Licurg won't be able to tell the difference though. He's like a wild, ravenous beast that picks up the scent of criticism of Sacrifice and leaps upon it with the rage of a possessed thing.
Jonathan Dunn's awesome soundtrack made it worthwhile though. In fact, his and Matthew Cannon's music single-handedly saved many of Ocean's film licence games on the 8-bit machines.

The game I most regret purchasing is "Driver 3" (PS2).

Killer is Dead

After seeing screenshots, I was hoping for gorgeous stylized graphics. Never having owned (or having any desire to own) a Wii I also thought this would be my chance to play something akin to No More Heroes, plus the story seemed like something straight out of Akira / Anime (not a huge anime fan but I do like some of it and this looked promising). So I play the game and... it's terrible. Combat is boring and has this weird staggered pace, the boss fights (or rather the one or two I played) varied from super hard to totally forgettable, the "sheen" and chromatic effect is hardly present during gameplay. And worst of all, an entire section of the game consists of oggling women because your character is some sort of pervert. I shit you not, you sit on a stool, the controller vibrates and the player has to discern some sort of esoteric code of disgusting giggles and controller shakes while looking at... yeah. This is how you unlock weapons. Not CoD type weapons, the weapons you need to crack puzzles in game, Metroid style. I think I lasted about an hour or so.

There was one other game I played, for all of about 15 minutes. It was my only "rage quit" in my history of gaming. I think I played it for 10 minutes, went back to it later and put in another 5 before I just powered down the console from in game. I always save and quit - this time I'm thinking to myself "I am just not having fun in the least" - and that was it, I was done. Wish I could remember which one that was.

Nice premise, very good soundtrack, everything else just bad. I finished it with a walkthrough - would have been a waste of time otherwise.

I have certainly severak dozen crappy games lying about - but those are the ones that I actually put some life time into.

Deus Ex Invisible war may not have been "the worst game" - but certainly one of the worst disapointments. i did finish it somehow though.

I remember The Fifth Element as being horribly clunky.

Critical Path

This game (if you want to call it that) was one of several CD ROM titles that were bundled with a 486DX2-66 we bought in 1994. It is hands down the worst game I ever legally owned.
