Almak: A lot different. In the sense that it includes a lot more features and game modes on top of the standard one. Plus it looks much better. Give the demo a try, you wont regret it.

A shill for Microsoft than (that or Bizzare). Activision is in no way involved with Geometry Wars 2.

JudasIscariot: I stopped playing those games because of those missions. Lack of time and lack of patience to tolerate bullshit like that.
I actually skipped the ones in San Andreas, I just couldn't handle them (neither could my nerves). But I actually did manage to finish those in Vice City, many a pill and torn out hair clump later... :/

Yeah, true, only I'm a completist. If I buy a game I will make damn sure to get the most out of it even if it kills me.

Yeah, true, only I'm a completist. If I buy a game I will make damn sure to get the most out of it even if it kills me.

I just chalk it up as a loss on my part I guess. I am no completionist, I merely play my games to enjoy tham and when they stop being enjoying then they stop being played. Of course, I try to read reviews on most games to see if any mini-game is mentioned and sometimes those reviews do not mention them at all and I get stuck with crap.

It just amazes me that rockstar saw it fit to bring those annoying mini games over to San Andreas. No one I talked to liked them in Vice City so it couldn't have been due to overwhelming positive response. For the sake of content variety? May be but with equal success they might have included cat mario instead. :S

Couldn't you get someone else to get by the minigames for you and you resume afterwards? Royally sucks to have to do it but better than missing the rest of the otherwise good game.

I still can't believe that those damned things managed to get past Q&A. I tried those damned mini games on the PC AND the PS2....and I could not finish then in either platform.

I have a low level of annoyance tolerance. Having to find someone to get me past something annoying in a game is also annoying.

Perosnally I found them difficult to get to grips with but got fairly good at it once my brain had adapted to the controls, the most important and difficult step was putting the mouse to one side

I didn't find Bioshock's minigame bad or annoying.

Actually, I find that to be easy. Right until I tried to get the trophy on my PS3. God, that was horrible.

i absolutely hated the bioshock plumbing mini game. it was also incredibly stupid how you could jump and hack something while floating in mid air with 50 enemies frozen in time around you while you fiddle with the cameras.
