Well, I already have Worms Armageddon from this bundle...in fact I was SUPER enthusiastic about snatching up this bundle when I saw it pop up, even tho I care very little about any of the other Worms spinoff games that are included.
It has been a very rare thing indeed to see Armageddon (basically Worms 3) with any sort of notable discount...(I wonder if it will continue to be rare, or if Team 17 is starting to realize they can't keep coasting off of a 10 year old game at full retail price any more...)
<rant alert> It's kind of ridiculous and perhaps even a shame to think that, after Armageddon, Team 17 felt like the best way to spend their money was to try and make lightning strike twice by plastering the "worms" logo on anything and everything they could think of...for, like a decade...and then be confused why people aren't interested in paying $15-20 each for a rehashing of Bust-A-Move or "Worms Pinball."
I mean, don't get me wrong, I like both of those KINDS of games, and I dearly love Worms in its basic form.
And it DOES appear that they're finally trying to branch out and do some other kinds of games now; both Light and Overruled look truly, Genuinely interesting to me. I just wish they hadn't wasted so much time and money trying to squeeze every last dime out of worms fans, when they could have just left well enough alone, worked on other projects, and THEN maybe do a "Worms Reloaded" with a few new features.
If they'd done that, I bet they'd actually have been much more successful trying to justify that $20 price point, and not have had to resort to a million DLCs and marketing gimmicks... (i.e. last year on steam, and then again this past summer, they let all of their worms games be marked down by big percentages, all except for "Armageddon" and "Revolution" which were both still like $10-15 each after a small discount. They may as well have called it "Worms Keane 3: the worm within." </rant alert> ok
that was a little ridiculous.
I'm not sure why I just typed all that out.
...
Anyway like I said, Light and Overruled look very enticing, I think. But maybe that's just me.
