Stupidity aside, it can be argued that a lot of immature people are just in need of a quick verbal beatdown in the form of a polite yet firm deconstruction of their points and the reasons they're being stupid for voicing them. TheCheese, the average age on the site I am referring to is probably just around what it is here, 35-40, and just to clarify its not a gaming site.
Anyway, thanks again, I'm just not sure that if I post this on where I plan to, it will be very well accepted. There are quite a few members who feel they are above everyone, and they may not take kindly to a kid trying to give them advice to improve their community.

Eh, I think age is an important factor to the maturity of a forum but not the only one. Just a couple of forumers can ruin the vibe of a web community and there can be immature old folk who get off with the feeling of power they have over moderating a forum, so I don't know. I think your post may not do too well, specially if they happen to think the current status quo is all fine and dandy. What you deem as an improvement might not feel the same way to them.
We're lucky to have several well behaved posters who can hold a discussion without resorting to flaming or tantrums. Maybe the fact that we're also very culturally diverse helps to keep things civil but in the end, it all depends on the specific people behind their keyboards. They make the whole. Lose a few and gain a few and the forum may very well thrive for the better or burst into flames.

Your right. I'm going to disclose a little information about the site. Its a milsim forum for airsofting, but it is all located in ohio, which is the state that I live in. I get my information from the site as well as find out about local airsoft events from it, so really there isn't an alternative to the site. Its not inherently bad, but I'm almost sure that everybody who posts there regularly knows each other personally. Its like if there was a group of tight nit friends who all have an opinion, then some new guy, years younger starts challenging how they operate, they take offence.
Oh and El, all the senior members and moderators do is complain about the immaturity of the older members. Its like a big loop, nobody is happy with each other it seems.

Hey,im 14 and I love classics...Plus im not like most of other kids who dont know jack about gameplay,design,art,duration bla bla bla,today,"Younger Audience" or whatever,wants Superb graphics,if they see Gothic 3 they will say:"OMG,THAT GAME IS PWNZORAWSOM!",but in reality,in isnt,but if their look to Gothic 2 (which kick ass Btw) they will say:"That game sucks.....",but in reality,That game rocks......

Yeah,age does influence (I still dont know how to spell it) forums,most of the kids below the age of 13 post with CAPS,lots of exclamation marks,plus they dont respect anybody... and while they play online,if someone kills them more than...lets say 4 times,they start yelling through the mic with that high pitched voice that melts your ear.....I ***** hate them.....thanks to God I wasnt like that...
