I like Witcher but creators of the poker minigame must be buttraped and hanged - i counted 11 (ELEVEN) straight losses! wtf is up with that? what was the point of creating this minigame if the odds are so small? what were they thinking? i understand that good odds would probably break the financial balance in the game, that many gamers would abuse it, but come on! eleven straight lossses!?? why did they even bother creating this minigame if u cant win?
Wrong forum, bad attitude.

That's why the other poker players are highly ranked, they are naturally better at poker. Quit whining and do the ol' save & reload trick.
why wrong forum - ppl post about random games here all the time. i'm currently replaying witcher enhanced edition director's cut that i bought here. of course i'm doing the save and reload trick, but i'm still losing every 9 games of 10.

i have complaints about the actual game too because it's crashing to desktop every now and then and considering the long loading times it's very annoying. the only improvement over the first version of witcher that i see is the sorting buttons in the inventory.

Actually it's not "bad attitude", considering it's been all but proven that the only reason they win is the game is programmed to give them better hands -- Something that makes sense considering said dice poker consists only on throwing dice, selecting what dice you want to keep and throwing them again. There's no skill there, just a RNG that gets biased toward the NPCs as you increase in "skill rank".
in case of witcher - it has its own forum

Because there is an actual The Witcher forum.

The other poker players are supposed to be naturally better at poker, and how this is achieved through in-game mechanics is that they are rewarded with better hands. While this might be annoying to the player, I think it is justified in the context of the game.

Regardless, lettmon does have a bad attitude. Saying that the programmers should be "buttraped and hanged" just because he has to put some effort (time) into a game within a game is childish.
If you think someone should be buttraped and hanged just for making a challenging minigame, there is something wrong with you. You need some help.

Yeah I didn't quite detail that part and thought your "bad attitude" comment was about him saying the game was being unfair :P

If you think i meant that for real, there is something wrong with you. You need some help.

This minigame is not challenging. challenge is when you are given chance to win - here you simply can't win without repeatedly loading saved game. but maybe you find pressing F9 eleven times in a row challenging, i dunno.

There is nothing wrong with me. I do not need help. I was just wrong to think you were being serious. It is hard to tell if someone is serious or joking on the internet.
