Not sure if this has been posted but CD Projeckt RED is releasing a F2P mobile-MOBA in the world of the Witcher,

Looks pretty awesome, sounds like they will do F2P properly and avoid making it pay-to-win.

And thanks to them in advance for recognizing windows phone and developing the game for it. I will definitely check this one out

I just read about this. Free to play? Ugh... There is no way to do that "right". That's quite a black mark on CDPR's reputation in my book, but to each their own.

League of Legends and DotA 2 are F2P and they are not bad games. ;>

I personally have no desire to play a game which is designed to make me want to cheat and then requires payment to do so.

The thing with F2P is this. To succeed, business wise, the game *has* to make you feel like you need to pay to advance and/or win. If it doesn't, then the dev doesn't make any money.

I will only buy games that charge a flat fee so I know that they are designed and balanced correctly. F2P is a ripoff because it's *supposed* to be a ripoff.

Wasn't a graphic adventure Witcher on the works or I was too drunk when I heard that?
Other than that, most MOBAs and F2P games are just a waste... But in true Witcher fashion, instead of pay-to-win it should be pay-to-see-more-tits :P

I didn't say anything about the games you mentioned because I don't know anything about them. I am only generalizing about F2P games and my generalizations are probably about 95% accurate, though I certainly can't say for certain because I avoid them like the plague. Now, please, grow up. We're talking about games here. Your attitude really isn't necessary.

Mobile game? I would have preferred a full-fledged pc release, but I'll check it out. There's plenty of free-to-play games that I've tried that didn't feel like a cash grab (of course there's plenty that did).

I have played League of Legends, and yes, the skins are only something to brag about, but I remember that you could expand your runes and that kind of stuff by paying... there was the longer and grindy option but that was too tedious. Too many kids going like U WOT M8... so yeah.

Runes were always available through the in-game currency and as of 2011 or 2012 they are no longer available for purchase with real money. Now you have to grind. Period.

Mobile. Very smart move. ^^ The PC is already saturated with them. The only holding the Witcher MOBA could have would be to be the first/only MOBA on GOG Galaxy. You shouldn't generalize on something you know nothing about then. The market has shifted over to more fairer play models in general. Most of the p2w's are the older ones and not the new titles because that's one of the biggest complaints users have.

Fuck MOBA's.They combine the worst elements of RTS and RPG and attract the most toxic communities gaming world has to offer.

Too bad my brother forces me to play DOTA 2 with him. And though I like playing Human, I hated playing with Bots.

Also how do they borrow the worse from RTSes when the only RTS it borrowed from is Warcraft 3?
